Service requested: Oil Change, Passenger Headlight Replacement, Inspection for coolant leak (I’ve been having to fill my coolant rather frequently).

Service Performed: Oil Change, Inspection for coolant and oil leak.

Team Members: Training Coordinator, Shane, Ruben, Gabriel, Jacob, Jason

Training Coordinator: checked me in, directed me to the correct bay, took down my information. Pulled my truck into the Mechanic Bay for me after showing me where the lobby was. Noticed me that the previous people overfilled my Oil by 2 Quarts.

Ruben: Checked in with the team during services to ensure things were going smoothly. Informed me that it would be awhile before they could get me in for inspection, but that they would try to identify the location of the coolant leak on the oil bay.

Shane: Communicated well with and proceeded to complete oil change from the bay. Identified that my passenger headlight was out. Told me that they do not have the headlight in stock and that if I came back with it they would replace it for free. I asked him what the part is called. He gave me part number 9008. I looked it up and showed him a picture of the one I intended to go purchase asking if it was the correct part. He replied yes. I returned with the part and he had Gabriel tell me that it was the wrong headlight because the housing is different. Shane then apologized saying “I didn’t realize it was LED. It’s the right part number you just need the LED Version” I went back to return the part and exchange it for the LED version. I came back later on that day for my inspection and was told that the LED headlight was not correct either.

Gabriel: Performed my oil change in the pit, effectively communicated with Shane when it was safe to proceed to the next step. Identified an oil leak. Checked me in for the service side and successfully communicated that he had to hand off to Jacob in order to return to the pit. Assisted in trying to change my headlight.

Jacob: Managed communications between teams during hand offs. Ensured customer satisfaction and comfortability during mechanic inspection. Assisted in trying to change my headlight.

Jason: Performed a diligent inspection looking for coolant and oil leaks. Informed me that there is no coolant leak to be found informed me where the oil leak was and provided quote for repair. After attempting to change my headlight informed me that the headlight I had was LED, but that my truck actually takes HID. Apologized for Shane, explained to me, and showed me the difference between LED and HID. Helped me locate the correct headlight from where I intended to purchase. Also, explained that if I had a conversion kit I could swap my headlights from HID to LED. Informed me about the EOC Card, how it works, and what additional perks come from having it.

During a recent business trip from Huntsville to Gadsden, I experienced what appeared to be a serious mechanical issue with my old truck. Fortunately for me I managed to limp the old girl into Express Oil Change in Boaz. Probably even more importantly, Jacob was on duty in the service side of their operation. I told Jacob I couldn't afford a lot of money right now, passed along some info that my mechanic back home had shared and asked him to "treat me like he would treat his momma (if she'd broken down)". Well, Jacob and the crew at Express did exactly that. I was back on the road within about an hour and my total fee was just $19.99. Jacob's original assessment was going to cost me well over five hundred dollars! So, you can imagine my relief when he came up with a way for me to not only get back on the road - but to complete my mission for the day as well! I made it to my destination in Gadsden in time and returned to my headquarters in Harvest with no incident. I am very grateful to Jacob and Express Oil Change in Boaz for their honest and courteous treatment. I recommend them 100%
