Excellent selection of all types of gear. Prices always run a bit high in REI but you pay for quality products here. Best to take advantage of the sales and membership deals. Overall great store!

I like REI and most of my camping gear was bought there. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and more fun than servile. REI brand articles are of great value and the 365 day return policy for members gives me the peace of mind. I am still using an REI tent that I bought 20 years ago. Overall, more quality than gimmicks, more information than pushing a salel, and a decent selection in store.

This is the second time we’ve been here after we were told it existed at the Summit. On our first visit, we purchased my wife hiking boots after she spent the afternoon trying to walk the trails of Moss Rock in tennis shoes. We did try to get them before hiking that day, but Mountain High Outfitters didn’t have her size. This place seems to have everything you need for outside activities. The membership they offer paid for itself after our first purchase. It offers you member only sales and to be able to return items up to one year after your purchase. It is good at any REI store from here to Florida.

Visited this location for the first time yesterday. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Skylar was great at assisting us with getting fitted for new packs. She and a gentleman (I didn't catch his name) were super helpful in informing us on how to become members, and the benefits that members receive. It's very nice to know that the membership fee is a one time fee. They also informed us about upcoming sales events. Mary assisted us at checkout, and with setting up our membership. She also made sure we were informed about our new benefits, and upcoming sales. It was a great shopping experience. If you're in the area this team will help you outfitted for your next outdoor adventure.

I purchased a $110 Sherpani backpack from this store on 2/28/24. I very rarely use the pack, yet by 6/15/24 the strap was tearing off. I was told by REI that because it was 90 days past purchase (barely) there was nothing they could do and I should check with the manufacturer (Sherpani). Sherpani insists that REI is responsible for replacement because it is a special edition pack only sold by REI. After a second trip to REI and explaining what I was told by Sherpani, I was again told there was nothing they could do. So much for REI backing the quality of their products. Super disappointing from both companies that pride themselves on quality. I essentially wasted $110.

Great store with a large selection, only issue I see is they do not bag your purchases.

Sadly, this place will not last long here. I have loved REI stores in other cities for a very long time. So it's something specific to this store.
Physically, the store is great, very nice and new, good inventory.
The problem is the staff. This has been my exact experience every time I have visited. I walk in, there is a group of workers standing around conversing. No acknowledgement from them. I'm shopping for something and need help, but I can't find anyone else so I go back to the workers talking, ask for help, then get a very rude reaction. So all three times I have been here, I wind up just leaving and buying it on the internet. I guess it's cheaper they anyway.
