Great local butcher with awesome customer service and incredible selection of meats and seafood! The Christmas Prime Rib was off the charts. Ordered the 7 rib and split it into 3 & 4 ribs to accomodate the Medium crew and the 4 rib for us Medium Rare carnivores!

Disappointed. I normally go to the Suwanee location but was in Cumming area already and thought I'd save a stop. I asked for 10lb of chicken wing/drum mix and specially asked for an even split between flats and drums. Came home to clean and package for freezing and was just disappointed. I was given 42 drums & 11 flats. Either someone doesn't want to accommodate a request, it is store policy to not split or has a difficulty counting/approximating as they're filling the bag and weighing on the scale. I mean come on. An even split is not an unreasonable request to make; I'm still buying 10lb of meat at the end. 4:1 is just not cool. I will not be coming back to this store, I'll go back to Suwanee where I know my request will be accommodated.

They have the best lunch deals in the area all food homemade and there sweet tea is awsome there smoked chicken wings are the Best in the state.

Any type of meat you desire, Wilkes has you covered. My family loves that we can get really fresh chicken and a lot of choices. I highly recommend their marinated chicken breasts, but their bone in skin on thighs are our favorite.
If pork is your thing, they have great Boston butts and 3 types of ribs (baby back, St. Louis and Country style, not to mention pork chops, and pork tenderloin. All are great choices.
If you are looking for beef they have amazing steaks, brisket and ground beef (and round and sirloin).
This is the only place we come to buy our meats.

The prices may be slightly higher than walmart or ingles, but the wide variety and vastly superior quality easily justify the expense. Instead of a frozen bag/tube of "fresh meat product" covered in unidentifiable fatty slime that fills the frozen section of the aforementioned chain stores, you can see what you are purchasing and the ensure that you are getting what you pay for in advance. The staff is helpful, the store is clean, and the mouth watering array of meats is reminiscent of the description of Valhalla in norse mythology.

Dropping my review from 5 stars to 1 star. I used to love the place , the meat was always fresh. But for the last 3 months when i buy the 10lbs chicken leg quarters and come home it’s smells really bad. I always was buying 10lbs chicken leg quarters , ribs and ground beef but no more. They should do a better job on keeping the meat fresh. The smell of the chicken was disgusting and it will be in my memory forever. Never again I will buy anything from here
