Just in the area a couple days. Suggested place by air bnb host. FABULOUS! Our server Tim was a joy & took excellent care of us! Long day driving so enjoyed him, the atmosphere, drinks & food!
I had a Paloma (or 2:)) which was the best I e ever had. Gluten free fish & chips, salmon blt,Jalapeno cole slaw and grilled asparagus! We ate every. Single. Bite! So good we went back the second night as well! Gf fish & chips again but tried the Brussels sprouts-yum!! All just as good. Tim not our server but he did stop by & say hello!
If you live here or traveling through you must try!!!

Enjoyed trying this new restaurant right off of downtown Dallas. Service was friendly and attentive! Food was well portioned and delicious. I particularly liked the crab and shrimp hush puppies. The London broil dip had lots of meat and soft bread. Fries were the perfect amount of salty. Will definitely try again

My husband and I visited Downtown Eats on a Friday night at 7pm. First impressions were great as far as the atmosphere. The decor was nice and was visually appealing. We were sat immediately but we weren’t greeted by the waitress for about 10 minutes. However, the waitress was sweet and kind. Service wasn’t exceptional but not terrible either.

I ordered the blueberry lemon drop and it was delicious. It was strong but still a very pleasant drink so to me, very much worth the $12. For entrees, I ordered the special chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and fried squash. The flavor was great but I was disappointed that it was lukewarm especially after waiting 30-40 minutes for the food. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos and they were LOADED. Plenty of shrimp and toppings but he was a bit turned off by the unsliced half avocado just placed on top of the tacos. It would have been adequate to have two slices on each taco… just seemed a bit lazy, to be completely honest. However, the flavor was there as well as a decent portion. The fries were crispy, hot and fresh. Overall, we were satisfied.

Dessert was great. You can’t go wrong with a chocolate mousse cake. It was decadent but the peanut butter espresso martini paired great with it. The bitterness of the espresso helped cut through the decadence of the cake.

Overall, I’d recommend the restaurant. It’s new and I’m sure they’re still working out the kinks. With a bit of tweaking, this restaurant has great potential to be the hot-spot of Dallas. We intend on going back.

I’ve owned a rental house in Dallas, for 12+ years but haven’t spent any f
time in Dallas or been impressed by any place I have stopped at.
Upon completing my work yesterday and starving, I googled restaurants near me. The eats popped up with highly recommended review reviews and was 2 miles away. I arrived a little after 5 PM, it wasn’t very busy.
The hostesses, bartenders & servers were all sweet, professional, kind and cute.
The atmosphere and decor was “Farm house” style , but classy….
Even the hand dryers in the bathrooms were impressive, lol!
My meal came out timely and was absolutely delicious. I wish I would’ve took pictures. I had the brisket quesadillas and they were delicious. I saw A lot of good looking meals come out of the kitchen, great presentation and tempting to order.
I left about 45 minutes later and by then, the restaurant had completely filled up. Peeps waiting in line! This was on a Thursday night at 6 PM. This place is a definite hit in Dallas!
The city of Dallas has been doing some exceptional improvements. I must give them credit! There were so many rundown homes in a lot of trashy yards and places everywhere you looked. Over the last few years. The city of Dallas has cleaned up and improved so many homes, it has improved and increased my property value. This restaurant is by far the best thing that hit Dallas Georgia. They’ve only been open a few months since December 2024.
If you’re around Dallas, you definitely should give it a try. You will not be disappointed! Prices are very reasonable. I was shocked at my bill and how low it was to be honest. That’s always a great 🙂

After a hilarious comedy show at The Dallas, Theater, this restaurant was the perfect finish! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared.

The service was warm and attentive, and the cozy, lively atmosphere made the night unforgettable. A must-visit spot for a great evening!

My friend and I came here today for my birthday for the first time and it was amazing! The food was great and our server was amazing I wish I could remember her name 🙁

We got the burger and chicken and waffles. Both were delicious. Excited to bring my husband here!

I tried lots of food with the family, my rating with family input: brisket quesidilla 3.5/5, grilled pork chop best 5/5, jalapeño cheeseburger 4/5, crab and spinach dip 4/5....stingy with pita breads, cheesesteak 3/5...a little dry and plain..., sweet potatoe fries 5/5. ...the Blondie with icecream was 5/5 delicious.......good for Dallas.... as there is no competition. I would try again the restaurant, there were some other items I would like to try. good experience and local.

We got to enjoy Downtown Eats in Dallas for the first time tonight and we super impressed! The line was not long for a party of two. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The food was great!!! We are so excited that such a great place opened up so close to home! The special side of Brussel sprouts were the star of the show and we hope they maybe put them on the menu full time! The tables are very close together but we had enough space to enjoy ourselves and still enjoy our dinner! We look forward to trying the fried green tomatoes next time we come!
