I've been patronizing this business ever since their grand opening day. My wife and I are very particular when it comes to consumption of various proteins. City Butcher and Fish was a godsend to our community in dire need of an actual butcher shop. They provide better quality beef and other various selections of meats and fish than any of the local supermarkets can ever dream of selling to our residence.
Like everything else in life...you get what you pay for. Hence why we shop for our meat products... especially for my seafood every 2 weeks.
The owner and staff are always pleasant and eager to accommodate my wishes on certain custom cuts and orders.
We highly recommend them for the absolute higher quality of various proteins products anywhere around in Habersham County. Period !.
Until I can find a better 5 star butcher chop in this county... I'll continue to spend my hard earned money at this establishment!.

Great butcher shop! Much better meat than any nearby grocery stores. Very clean. Very friendly staff who are happy to answer any questions you've got. Probably the best salmon I've ever had in my life.

Well, 2 stars becuase it wasn't all bad. I love the concept of a local Butcher Shop to shop at for locals like myself but my experience today fell short of expectations. Maybe the staff was having a rough day, it happens to us all. But, I walked in here today with all intentions of purchasing meat to try from and to support my local Butcher shop. When I walked in and got no welcome, hello, hi, nothing - just got stared at. I looked past it and continued to shop and ended up purchasing a few things. I thought to myself how odd the experience was on my way home. When I went to unpack my bag at home, I noticed that none of the bags my steaks or ground beef was in had been twisted closed. The meat was put into clear bags and my entire purchase was then placed into a black bag. The ground beef had made it's way out of the clear plastic bag it was put into and was all over the inside of the black bag. I don't mind paying more for better quality products, but I felt like they didn't want me there. When I walked in and no one said anything, just got stared at and with the packaging not being atleast spun closed so it wouldn't spill out, it confirmed for me that maybe they didn't want me there.

To whomever may respond, if any - No, I do not want to take another chance to purchase from you. No, I do not want a replacement of the ground beef that spilled out, nor the beef tenderloin, nor the sirloin, nor the chorizo. No, I do not want any refund. I'll continue to get my meat and seafood elsewhere. No hard feelings, just do better with making your customers feel welcome and not like we're all tourist or have to shop at your store and give the bags a quick twist to close them up.

Everything here is top shelf. Meats and fish are high quality. So much better than grocery stores and not filled with "up to 30% water".

Absolutely amazing selection. Lots of beef choices, a large selection of fish, even some elk and deer stuff. They also had lots of sauces and appetizers! We got a Prime Ribeye and NY Strip and a couple baked potatoes. It was one of the best dinners we've ever had! It's pretty far from Atlanta but we'll be back again!

I think you just lost me as a customer. Been buying your products 3 to 4 times a week. However, I am very disappointed with the price gouging I experienced today! Along with your meats and seafood, I began to purchase meat fat cuttings for my dogs at 50 cents a pound. Today when I went in I was charged a $1.50 a pound. The reason I was given for a 150% increase in price is that since you were selling it you decided to jack up the price. Are you also going to use this same principle on your other products? I don't appreciate being taken advantage of when I am supporting a locally owned business. I will buy my dogs meat scraps from Quality Foods at a very low price. I will also go back to purchasing my meats and seafood from Wildforkfoods.com where shipping is free and excellent quality. You have a right to charge what you want as I have a right to shop where I am not taken advantage of.
