So far my experience has been Great! I've been hunting for 4 years now. I skin gut and process all my deer. However yesterday things just didn't line up and fall into place. I harvested a small Doe. The tractor I use had been picked up. So I attempted to do it on the picnic table, then the bottom decides to fall out and pour down rain. I absolutely butchered to hide and had one front shoulder off. I called and explained to them the condition of the deer and I just wanted it gutted skinned and hung for 7 days.
They were completely understanding and had no problem with me dropping it off. So far my experience with them have been great. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. If I ever get in another pinch I will definitely use them again.

I have taken all my deer from this season to Southers for processing, and I have been very pleased. They are friendly, informative, and always get my harvest back to me in a timely manner. The guys have been very helpful with suggestions on how to keep my freezer stocked with a variety of different cuts. I have always received the specific cuts and products I requested at drop off. They have and will continue to earn my business.

I just dropped off a large buck and I was skeptical about trying to eat it. The sweet lady recommended I Jerky it all and grind the rest. I was amazing how delicious their jerky is and I will always bring my deer there!! I also received 16 packs of Jerky!! I was also very pleased with the ground meat with no gamey taste!! Even though it was a big buck!! I will be back and thank you!!

Absolutely the best deer jerky around!! Also the pricing was very fair and 50% les than Dawsonville!! The burger and cubed were also delicious 😋 I will bring all of my deer to them!!

I shot a buck at 7:20 and had it to my truck by 8pm. I called a local processor that advertises 24 hour drop off but they didn't pick up, so left a message and called again at about 8:30... still no response. I saw Southers was open until 9pm and called asking if I could do a late drop off. The gentleman on the phone agreed to wait for me even though I was an hour away. On the way to drop the deer, I hit another deer with my truck. Called Southers and they said they would stick around until I got there. I showed up a little after 10pm and the gentleman waiting for me was exceptionally nice, helpful, and friendly. (I'm ashamed to say I didn't get his name.) I don't have my deer back yet, but the fact that they stayed an hour after closing to help me out after another place failed to deliver on their "24 hour drop off" advertisement makes me feel I went to the right place.

When I dropped my deer off they were accepting “cooler only” deer. Not a problem at all as this happens to a lot of places during the peak season. So I skinned and quartered my deer and dropped it off. I got my receipt for 70.00 and went on my way. When my wife went to pick the deer up they tried to charge her 90.00. They claimed my deer was disgusting and had guts all over it. This is actually really impressive because I Hawaiian dressed the deer and never disrupted the guts. When my wife asked for our money back since they were trying to over charge the women verbally accosted her asking how they were going to sell our nasty deer meat. It begs the question, if the meat was so disgusting how could they even try to sell it to us in the first place. If I were to make any recommendation at all to anyone, it would be to use a quality processor like Apple Valley or Marlowes. I have taken many deer to Southers but not any longer. The lack of professionalism speaks volumes.

I was told that the meat I get back would be my deer, nobody elses meat. I spent $183 to have one processed, mainly because of the 3 tubes of summer sausage @ $15.00 per. When I got there I only received one package so the young lady went to the back to grab two more. I asked how she would know if it was my deer and she replied "to be honest with you we cant make just one deer at as time, we mix all the meat together"..I paid $45 for sausage made from a deer that could have been on a tailgate for a day. Unacceptable! Dont tell me itll be mine then deceive me!

Very nice friendly hard working people and very helpful staff.
All the young men were kind and smiling and working very hard.
Clean nice facility and I'm glad they could take my deer during this busy busy season.
I will use them again.
