My God, where do I even start?

I pulled in to pick up my meat and was met with a man peeing in the driveway holding a beer. I brushed it off. I told another guy that I was there to pick up meat. After digging through a deep freezer, I was handed two very light in weight grocery bags. I asked if there was a chance that a bag was missing. He stated that there wasn't. I reminded him that I dropped off a 120lb deer that was shot broadside, double lung, from ~75yrds. There had to be more meat from that animal. He started going over the list from the package that I chose and stated what was in each bag. I asked if he could check for another bag and he stated that there wasn't one, without looking. During this conversation, the gentleman who just had his pecker in his hand entered a walk in freezer, where deer where hanging... I asked again if he could check because there must be some mistake. He attempted to explain that 2 grocery bags was the "average" amount of meat for a deer that size. I picked up both bags and stated that there couldn't be more than 15lbs combined. Because I had a very young family member with me, I chose to take the high road and leave. So I paid the $110, grabbed the bags and left. As we were about to pull out, we witnessed one of the employees who had been drinking, get into a truck and drive away. My mind was already made up to never return to this "place of business".

For reference, I requested the "Delux Package". With that, I requested 2 lbs of stew meat. I hunt a few times a year in that area. I live 96 miles away from this "business" and only used them because I did not have time to process the harvest myself. When I got home, I weighed all of the meat and it totaled to 13lbs. No stew meat. I called and spoke with (Bindy?). I explained the concern of only getting 13lbs and that I was also missing stew meat. I was told that she didn't know I wanted stew meat (even though it was on my paperwork). She also stated that they cut their cubed steak extremely small and that's why I only had 5 packs of cubed steak, each being the size of a cigarette pack... Ultimately, I was told that there was no mistake and that I had a good meat yield...

I will definitely continue to process my own harvest. I recommend everyone do the same. Or at least avoid Gone Wild like the plauge.

I dropped off 2 deer in back to back weekends. I only got back 36.5 lbs of meat total. Each doe weighted roughly 80+lbs. On deer 1 i asked for my back straps to be cut into steaks never got them. Nor did i get either back strap whole. Also didn't get either one of my tenderloins from deer 1. On deer 2 I only got 1 tenderloin back. Both these deer were clean shots deer 1 was a lung shot. Deer 2 was a neck shot. Deer 1 was bigger and heavier then deer #2. Deer 1 roughly weighted 95 to 105 ish lbs on the hoof.Total meat I recieved back on deer 1 was 17.7lbs. Deer 2 weighted roughly 80 to 90llbs, total meat i recieved back was 18.8lbs from deer 2. Both deer were clean shots.

If I could leave no stars I would!! These guys had 1 deer for over 3 weeks, then we thought would try again and they kept it for over 2 weeks and when we picked up both was alot less meat then what should have been especially for the price they charge! The first deer was 60 pounds less then the second and got same thing made and was significantly less meat AND we asked for backstraps and they looked like came out of a fawn not a 10 point buck that was 170 pounds!! So either 1 they didn't give us OUR deer back or 2 they don't know what they are doing! If they would put the beer down long enough to conduct a business they might could do a better job!!

I use to do my own processing. I was referred to them from a friend. They have been doing my processing for the last 3 years. You get what you pay for and the maple sausage is awesome! Great conversation and just all around great people. They make sure you get your deer meat only and clean the equipment between orders so there's no cross contamination.
