Extremely impressed with Sandy! Reasonable price , great cuts. 10/10 would recommend the steaks. Even was kind enough to cut the antlers off the deer for me. Told me it would take a week and half and was right on schedule. Couldn’t be happier - thank you Sandy!

Friendly and delivered in the time committed. Prices were fair and I was happy with the cuts. It's not vacuum sealed, but no one ever seals the way I want so I end up doing it over anyway.

Not good quality processing, not vacuum sealed. Flavor was not good for the sausage made and it tastes like ground. I am disappointed I paid money and ruined my meat.

I had a friend recommend sandy to process the Elk I harvested. I took the elk to sandy and after I did some research and found some not bad but not good reviews of Sandy's deer processing, soo I was concerned about my elk and how it would turn out. I have had both the hamburger and the sausage. One word AWESOME!!!!!. The cube steak was trimmed with no and I mean no gristle on it. I had it last night, again AWESOME!!!! The only thing sandy wraps it like you get it in a grocery store and does not use freezer paper. I was not used to that. Not a big deal at all. Sandy will do all my deer processing from now on.

Location was very dirty and unkept. The owner shot our cow twice and it still did not die. My husband had to take out his gun and shoot the cow for the third time in order for it to die. Needless to say the cow suffered and the adrenaline rushed through the meat causing it to be very tough. This was the first time we had processed a cow and we were told the hoof weight was $.75 per pound. After talking with other butchers we just assumed that that was after it was gutted and the head taken off. To our surprise we paid $710 for a cow that weighed 880 pounds on the hoof. We took another cow to different butcher a week later and paid $449 for a 950 pound cow.

It was wrapped on trays with plastic wrap that was not sealed tightly and had a freezer burn after it was only in his freezer for a day. The beef did not have enough fat added to it and it was very dry and flavorless when we cooked it.

Lesson learned on our part. Sandy was a nice guy but I’ll do business else where moving forward.

I’ve used Sandys deer cooler for about 12 years. They are top notch folks and they do a top notch job. The packaging is like what you’d see in a grocery store. So not only do they do a great job on cutting , their packaging is fantastic. I pass a lot of processors on my three hour drive home, but I always go to Sandys. It’s always worth it.

Prices are about the same as most other processors in the area. They added beef fat to the ground venison, but it is unknown what the ratio is. . . The backstraps were labeled as tenderloin and still had the silver skin on them, which never happened when we used another processor. We asked for the hide to be saved. When we picked it up, it was just in a bag and not refrigerated or frozen, so it had sat at room temperature for nearly a week. When we got it home and laid it out to prepare it for tanning, there were large chunks of meat still on it and a gigantic hole had been torn in it. The tail was removed, too. It was beyond being able to repair, so we didn't get to save the momento of our first deer of the season. We will be processing our own deer from now on.
