Jason and the team at ECG Productions renewed my faith in customer service, offering the expertise and professionalism that so many businesses lack today. I was desperate to find someone that could tackle a video restoration project, rescuing a very old VHS tape that had been trapped in storage for decades. Not only did the team at ECG Productions step in when multiple others said my project was too difficult or impossible, they did so with compassion and a genuine interest in the project and its outcome. As a result, I am going to be able to give my husband the greatest gift imaginable, a chance to see his late father again, hear his voice, and relive moments that will bring his memory alive for the holidays.

My journey began with hope, which diminished rapidly. I scoured the Internet for someone that could help me. Some media digitization companies didn’t even bother responding, while others said they couldn’t take on a tape that was damaged. They said I needed a video restoration specialist, but had no idea where I could find one. There aren’t a lot of experts in video restoration and VHS digitization.

Enter Jason at ECG Productions. He answered my inquiry and while he didn’t promise anything, he said his team would absolutely look at the tape and do their very best. Just Jason’s willingness to try to help meant a great deal to me.

On the very same day the team received the tape, Jason emailed and communicated every step of the way. I never wondered what progress was being made or if we had a chance of success. Unlike so many companies, not only did Jason communicate, but did so compassionately…the entire ECG Productions team genuinely took an interest in this project and knew how much it meant to me and would mean to my husband. They asked questions and cared about the story behind that video tape, not limiting their focus to just the tape itself. They were excited by the challenge of this project, and that made me even more impressed than I already was.

So, what was a “hail Mary” pass definitely ended up as a touchdown. I am sure there are many more people like me, with memories of loved ones seemingly trapped in archaic forms of media. And thank goodness for people like Jason and his team at ECG Productions that can not only expertly bring those memories alive, but do so with the kindness, humanity, and compassion that we all need a little more of these days. ECG were incredible production partners in an immersive VR project for a non-profit. I recently worked with them to develop professional training videos, and the quality of the product that they created exceeded my expectations. The entire production time was reasonable (3 videos shot in less than 8 hours!), and the turnaround time for the final products was less than two weeks.
