I recently needed to move a near new 16’ x 16’ barn shed with a large loft. It was a much bigger job than I could handle even though I was only moving it a short distance on my property. I called Nichols Portable Buildings and I cannot give them more props for a job “Well done!”

They were careful in the moving process and also in re-setting it in its new place. Wayne, the owner, even took into consideration that it would settle after a good rain being on a sloped spot. I was concerned at first, but sure enough it did settle and level up as he anticipated. If you want the job done right, call Nichols Portable Buildings.

Disclaimer: the building did not come from them and I hesitate picturing it. I didn’t know about this company when I purchased, but I can highly attest to their customer service.

Purchased a building several years ago, being told as long as “Nichols” on it they would guarantee it. A few months after the lock on the door wouldn’t work and no one would come fix it. I tried for a few months and finally had to hire a handyman. I made requests for reimbursement which were ignored. The woman who answered their phone kept saying she was putting in the request but I never heard back from anyone. They apparently do NOT guarantee their work or buildings!

They were very nice to do within the beginning. They did not tell me all the information when I signed up for financing took $300 for me and won’t give it back even though they can’t sell me the building will never go here again. Do not buy them they do not tell you all the information when I called them to get my money back because they did not tell me all the information they pretty much told me they did not care

Used to work here for awhile. Mr. Nichols and his colorful crew and hard to deal with sometimes, but the prices are right and the buildings are sound and will last for decades.
New management certainly helps make the experience smoother.

The buildings can be customized to your liking and can even be built right in your backyard. Moving an existing building is also offered, but it's a hit or miss experience.

I've had satisfied new customers on many deliveries tell me how pleased they are with their buildings and seen old customers with buildings over a decade old that were still in great shape.

In short, great buildings at reasonable prices but overall customer experience could use work.

My mom bought a large shed about 4 yrs ago ..it was a great experience ..then i used them to move a shed..4yrs ago and then 2 yrs ago...they help me move a shed on existing property when no one else would...even jerks at local wrecker with capable chain and truck to pull .charged me but then their driver made tons of excuses...nichols got it done at a far price both times

Do not, and I repeat do not use Nichols portable buildings for your sheds. They are just a bunch of trashy nasty people. Just look up their names and find out ALL about them.

The owner is very unprofessional, pushed me out of the way after refusing to fix the paint that they got wrong and didn’t finish correcting, very very rude. Tore up mine and my neighbors yard. He was coming to “fix the paint and shed dimensions and bring it back” upon his arrival he said he had no intentions to fix anything and wasn’t bringing it back and was going to drag the shed off my property…. Ended up having to call law enforcement to get him to leave. The owner and employees are a bunch of liars even though there is a paper trail of evidence they want to lie about.

Literally anywhere would be a better place and much more deserving of business than them!

To respond to Nichols response; it wasn't so much you couldn't get the tin but more so you jerked me around for a year telling me you would.

So very disappointed in what has become of Nichols. Did business with them over the last 20 years only to be kicked to the curb when I needed help.

Had a limb fall through a roof of one of my buildings in Jan 2023. Naturally I called Nichols to get replacement tin. I have called every month since only to be told today (Jan 30 2024) Nichols no longer sells Lark buildings so I am on my own.

Why wasn't I told a year ago you aren't a lark dealer?

I do not recommend buying a building from this company. I had nothing but bad experience with them. They brought me the wrong building, building was built from cull lumber, not set up properly. I won the case in court and still cannot get them to come pick up the building and refund my money. All I get is lies about them returning my $6300 and picking the building up. This has been going on for almost a year.
