Overall I had a good experience with this company. I ordered 6 different grape vines of all varieties, some for wine and some for table grapes. The vines arrived around 1-2 weeks after I placed the order and were in their dormant state, meaning they looked like brown branches. They had good root development and were packaged with a gel on the roots to keep them hydrated during their journey. Upon doing the cut test (cutting a small piece of the branch to check if it's dead or alive) all the vines had bright green in the middle and were very much alive! I will definately consider ordering g from them again in the future. I think a lot of the negative reviews might be coming from people who don't deal with plants in their dormant state, just because a plant looks like a dead brown branch doesn't mean it isn't alive.

WORST nursery we have ever done business with!!! We have done business with about 2 dozen over the years. I wish I could give them 0 stars! TERRIBLE!!! That is the best way for us to describe our experience. This is the only nursery that I will NEVER do business with again. We spent over $1000 with this nursery and essentially are left with a questionable around $500 of product! They refused a monetary refund and will only offer a "replacement " for their inferior quality (In comparison to other nursery plants) products WHICH you will need to pay additional fees for in the form of shipping.

They don't stand behind their products like other nurseries we have done business with. Other nurseries will typically send you a free replacement for FREE. NOT Willis Orchard!
Spending over $1000 (That is 1 Thousand dollars!!!) with this nursery, we have had nothing but problems with over half of the plants that we received from them. Of the spent over $1000 I have the 7 olive trees which had ALL died completely back to the root but did come back months later.... They are a whopping 3-5 inches tall after 1.5 years. The grapes are ALL in dire states. Yet the grapes we got from a competing nursery are doing beautifully. EVERY Persimmon Tree that we got from them had the grafted sections completely die and all we are left with are rootstock suckers! Well over half of the 17 nut trees we got from them failed! Oh and of the 10 figs that we bought from them EVERY single last 1 of them died in the first summer despite the same watering routine received as the other fruit trees from competing nursery (The competing nursery trees are doing great, Willis Orchard figs failed!) As an ill received coutesy to Willis Orchards, we patiently waited until the end of the following Spring (Which fortunately for the nursery would put it past the 1 year "warranty ".) to make sure of the final fate of the figs before contacting the nursery, but....

After all this hassle, we asked for a measly % refund from them for all the trouble and loss. They never issued any sort of monetary refund. We found their customer service skills non existent (At least this was so in the case of the gentleman that we had the unfortunate displeasure of attempting to communicate with!) Our "customer service" representative had the audacity to point out that we agreed to the conditions of purchase that were "forced" on us at the time of purchase. In other words, if you are thinking of buying from here, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere. There are nurseries out there that will not "force" you to agree to one-sided conditions upon purchase and will actually stand beside the quality of their products. Willis Orchard in our experience does NOT stand behind anything that they sell! Advice from our experience: Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra to buy quality products from a reputable nursery.

I ordered a 6 to 7 foot TREE And this company had the nerve to send me a 5 foot STICK. Contacted the company for a return label to send it back and they refused because I opened it. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company. I feel insanely ripped off and if you’d like to be ripped off too, then you should order from this company

I could not be happier with my purchase from Willis orchard Last year I bought roughly 30 trees from them. The result was good. But this year I was a lot more impressed with them. Few of the trees from last year died. They replaced those despite that I did not have photos of some of them.
Their prices is fair, variety of trees they provide is quite exceptional and top notch customer service.

I ordered 9 bare-root blueberry plants for an early spring transplant. They shipped within the given timeframe and arrived alive, packaged and preserved well. Now, almost a month later, they are still alive with new growth. At this point their survival is all on me and good ol momma nature.

I feel that the folks down at Willis performed a difficult task quite well. I was concerned after I placed my order when I looked up Willis to see their location and read all these negative reviews. 9 blueberry plants wasn't cheap and I didn't want to buy them again, not to mention Texas's short spring window for transplanting could be missed on a failed attempt this year. I'm glad I remained optimistic because the plants turned out to be healthy and some even bigger and fuller than expected.

I told myself that I'd get on here to defend Willis if they did good so here I am. I hope this review helps folks choose Willis and maybe take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. I've purchased bare-root plants before with very mixed success. Willis did everything better, from packaging and shipping down to each beautiful and healthy plant with very established roots.

I added photos for folks to see for themselves. I tried to show that they are not only alive but also have new growth. Some lost almost all their leaves but new growth is all that matters to me.

Tried to order a tree from here despite the low rating. Turns out the low score is well deserved. Seems different employees have different interpretations of policies. Don't know how you can trust or do business with a place when you get different answers from different people.

Called and asked if they had someone in stock. They did. Asked if I could pick it up. They said I could I just have to order and they'll call and arrange it. I did just that. Except they then call to say they won't fulfill the order because they only do pickup for orders over X amount......despite me being able to come pick up the order. So it's either I pay more than double to have my order shipped down the street or I cancel it. I cancelled it and found another local place to go pick up my tree.

Would have been nice to have been warned before going through the process of ordering.

Can't recommend. I ordered four grape vines that were dead on arrival. The orchard no longer carries the ones I wanted and refuses a refund. They offered an "in-store" credit for the amount minus the shipping which is $25+ to cross two states. Bad business.

I should have known by the price. But I was sent a dead sycamore tree wrapped in electrical tape. When i emailed the company they said I had to pay shipping again. So pay shipping on a dead tree you sent me, then pay it again on the off chance the next one is dead too. Won’t refund you. Better off trying somewhere else
