This place is awesome!!! They helped my Fiance feel comfortable with trying out new bikes and even let her and I try them out in the parking lot! At one point we though we found the perfect bike for her, but then Jill brought out an even better bike at a great price! We couldn't recommend this place more!

Phenomenal experience at Chain Reaction. Purchased a 2024 Santa Cruz Hightower here. The owner Phil is a true stand up guy. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure I was 100% confident with my bike before I left the shop. Special shout out to David, Brad, and Adrian. No better shop around in the Augusta area!

I recently sold the bike I loved (so it could get ridden more) I had a need for used tires with x-country tread. I dropped by Reaction bile and they didn’t blink an eye and found me several tires that would work great, at no charge. They had lots of customers on deck and still helped me out with a smile. When I have less work and more bike time, I know this is where I’ll get my next bike…

I stopped in yesterday with my drivetrain in bad need of adjustment. I expected to drop my bike off and wait a week to get it back but the awesome staff at Chain Reaction asked if I wanted to wait and said they would get it fixed and back to me in about 15 minutes.

They showed me what they did, explained it, and the price was lower than I expected. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. This is the only bike shop I will go to in the future.

I want to start by saying that I did receive a full refund. With that, this has been the worst summer of owning a bike I have experienced. Im writing this as I sit in my garage learning how to adjust a front derailleur. This is after taking ti this shop multiple times to have the bike tuned and repaired. The first time I took it in was to address the rear derailleur limit and a tune-up. The chain was being thrown into the spokes. This was supposed to take 1 week to fix. It took 3. I had to call multiple times to find out the status. Once I received the bike back, it did the same thing. This time resulting in a broken spoke. When I took it in, they didn't have the spoke. Brad tried to sell me some $800 rims. I had to order the spoke for them. Once I did that, they took another 2 weeks getting that fixed. Upon returning the bike to me, this issue was resolved. The cable tension was not right, and the front derailleur was not shifting rings. I had to take it in a 3rd time. This is when I got the cable tension adjusted and the refund for all labor. I explained that I did not trust their work. Today, Im sitting here listening to my chain grind against my front derailluer when in the low gears. It sounds like a kid eating Capn Crunch cereal. All of these tensions and adjustments affect others with this derailluer. They just did not do a thorough job of ensuring they all worked. They adjusted one and did not test to see how the others were affected. I feel like they are just teyingmto take into too much work without providing the time and quality to ensure that this is precise and correct. I can not in good conscience recommend this shop to anyone who is serious about their riding. I have been put into dangerous riding conditions as a direct result of the work done here. Maybe a good place to purchase a new bike. It does not meet the standard when doing tune-ups, repairs, or maintainence.
