Wow, last thing I heard from the “owners’ son” was “Why you gotta be a prick”. This was caused by my note/memo I left on the check as I was displeased with the entire interaction. I called Thompson’s sprinkler repair on Oct 9th due to extremely wet and soggy ground. They sent out some folks to fix the problem. Fast forward two weeks to October 22nd when I had to call Thompson’s back due to the problem still being unresolved. Nothing had changed in the appearance of the contested area. It had not gotten worse, nor had it dried up. Thinking back, I remembered the tech that came out on the 9th stated I had a year warranty, so called them back up to fix the problem I originally called them for.

Then today two more techs arrive and immediately identify the problem within moments. Now all of a sudden, it’s a new problem which requires a new charge. This is where the customer and Thompson employees do not see eye to eye. They think it’s a new problem – yet it’s clearly that the problem didn’t get fixed the first time. It had only been 2 weeks, it was not caused by the hurricane – the first visit was on Oct 9th, Hurricane Helene was in September! But because I did not agree with the technician and said I didn’t want to hear it, that makes me rude. Also, because I already paid the initial $100 service charge to fix the problem, here we are two weeks later, me with the SAME PROBLEM, and now being quoted $170. Maybe if I had received a receipt/invoice I would have a better understanding of HOW the service charge is different. Yet here we are, me with the one problem of soggy ground – and the company trying to charge me nearly $300. After some back and forth, me explaining that it’s the same problem, I was led to believe that it’s being covered by the initial visit when the problem wasn’t fixed properly. Then he asks how I’m going to pay, I said check and asked for how much, when he said $110 for the service charge. I stayed quiet even though this is the second service charge from this company and for a different price. I wrote the check, and a memo/note “for trashy service a second time”. This is when the apparent “owner’s son” flipped his lid. Asking what this was about, which I retorted, it’s messed up saying something has warranty when during the second visit for the same soggy land you get charged ten dollars more than the last time. He complained it was a “family run business” a few times, which is great – all the more reason to take care of the customer the first time. Ask that first technician if I was happy when he left – the answer is no, because it was still leaking, I saw it still running. The response from him was that it’s normal to leak a little since it’s the lowest sprinkler head, yet here we are. After he was done yelling at me from my front lawn, he asked (yelling) “why you gotta be a prick”. Then maybe 10 minutes later, I get a phone call saying sorry for the inconvenience and that the check was on my door mat.
So thanks for refunding me my check back, did you finally realize the customer actually had a point and maybe that the 9th technician maybe screwed up? Also I was not rude, I was simply writing my initial draft of this google review. Where’s the invoice/receipt? Oh because you ripped my check up, I don’t get one? How about the one from the 9th? If the actual owner would like to have a better understanding of the events that occurred today, I’ll be more than happy to speak with him.
Now I have edited my review, still will remain low due to being called a ‘prick’ BUT will raise a little because the warranty apparently worked, it just cost me stress. Definitely will look for others to repair any sprinkler issues in the future, shame on me for trying to support the little guy.

Outstanding service and products. Quick response to calls and text. The team takes the time to explain what they are doing. They show you what they did and conduct operational/functional tests prior to leaving. They also clean up after they are done. Prices are good, and the owner does what he can to work with you on the big and little jobs.

Over priced did not do the job I asked them to do. Used old rebuild sprinklers and charged Top Dollar for sprinklers that barely oscillate, I have dry patches in my front yard. Never did put in new flow restrictor. Never did install new sprinkler head at corner of yard. Did not raise the equipment boxes so I could add a new layer of soil. Kept making excuses about how much better it would be the way the sprinklers were working. I just wanted him to stop making excuses so I could get someone else to get it right. I over paid for a Second Rate Job. Evan's Ga.

Thompson’s Sprinkler just completed work at our house and did awesome!

We recently purchased the house and did not know what was the origin of water in our front yard. They quickly identified and fixed the issue with bad valves.

They were very knowledgeable of the system we have and provided instructions and valid recommendations.

I will use their service again!

I called early Friday morning a bit frazzled that my sprinkler system had flooded from the backyard into the street. They were able to come out in a matter of hours and completely fix and repair my system. They even took the time to show me all the controls, set up the timer and walk me through all the details. Very reasonably priced and incredibly helpful. Cant speak highly enough of this company and their employees! 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing repairs!

I had a sprinkler issue where one of my zones wouldn't come on, turns out that someone had shut off water to those zones via a shutoff that had been covered over completely by grass and I didn't even know it existed! Since they were already here, I had JP and Yoba go over my system to make sure everything was in working order. These two gentlemen went over everything, found and repaired some issues and fixed my drip zone to run like I'd never expected. Fantastic work all around and I will definitely be recommending your services to others.

Had a problem with 1 solenoid valve that I attempted to repair, the valve was leaking by. Purchased a new solenoid valve. I replaced the upper portion of the solenoid valve and the valve still leaked by slightly. After about 4 attempts at removing and reinstalling the upper component, the valve still leaked by.

Called Thompson's because of the great reviews on Google.

Jeff and Cody came out on the same day I spoke with Joe Thompson. Joe figured the valve would need to be cut out and a new one installed. However, because of their knowledge, they were able to disassemble, reassemble and sufficiently tighten down on the bolts that the leak by stopped. They didn't need to cut a new one in.

A shout out to the guys and Thompson! Only charged a small service fee. Thank you, I will be using Thompson in the future and recommending them to others.
