I just want to give a shout out to the security guard and a young lady whose name I forgot already that had driven the forklift. Staff are very friendly and pretty much easy to do a live unload. I did leave a couple of videos explaining how to do so.

1 - Go to the guard gate to be directed to go to the blue container office

2 - Once you come around the curve, you should see a blue container. There's a wide opening that you need to go inside with your truck, and please get in line. You must be out front and ready to go in you cannot go in before that.

For 'Live Unload'
*** Once you are established, they will give you your paperwork back plus a map to show you how to get around to the other side to Door Number 6 /5.

*** Before going to the door, please get on the scale to weigh. Once on a scale, get out your truck and go inside the little shack. There should be a computer for you to sign in. If it goes down like it did on me, I went to get someone to fix it. You should have a white sheet that will be stamped, and that will be in a pile for you to grab. You need that piece of paper to give to the yard driver.

*** Next, go into the blue door that says door 4 and wait until a forklift driver approaches you.

*** That person will give you a door, then pull your tandems if not already, and take off your red airline hose. Pretty much you can wait inside your truck, or you can watch them unload your truck inside.

*** Once the unloading process is done, they will actually clean out your truck for you. What you need to do after this is take your truck and come back around to the old shack to pick up your paperwork from your yard driver, and then you're all set.

Once you get to the guard gate, pull up like the sign says partially. Make sure your doors are open for them to check. Take your paperwork with you to give to the guard, and pretty much you are done with the live unload.

I am going to give you 4 stars just because the staff but the 2 women at the check point 🤔🤔🤔
The facility is super clean and organized, not to many signs but good! This place is huge, do not be afraid.
To start follow the instructions, check in at the first office you find ( with the 2 women), line up, then go to the end of the place, it looks confuse but it's easy, don't forget to weight at the scale, get the Ticket ( they have a computer with clear instructions, follow them, the info is in your BOL), add the Ticket to the paperwords, wait for your door
After unloading they direct you and that's it. ( Our guy was a MS man, he was superb! 5/5
The unloading was fast, the trailer was clean at the end, not easy to hit the exac point to unload, however all guys inside the facility are so helpful, they look serious, but it's just aparience, they super nice.
Restroom is next to the scale office and it's mix 😐😢
Finally we got the paperwords and left the place.
The night security guys are amazing too!
Stop at the sign, open the doors and you good to go.

Was told my load wasnt ready and to wait across the street at NFI and wait for a phone call to inform me my trailer was ready, 13 hours pass and no phone call came. I go back to find out whats going and only to find it was ready 7 hours ago.
Load is now late due to a lack of service from both NFI AND GP. You guys just dont care. Merry Christmas indeed

Absolutely 100% true about lunchtime. Either come well before or after I presume. Drop and hook trailers are on dirt, driveway is concrete and live load docks are on concrete. Lots of space to maneuver. Get your truck washed after and not before or you may be a little ticked off. 😊 Check in is pretty organized. I was live unloaded and loaded pretty quick considering, but it’s Covid season so I’ll have to see what happens if I return. Unloading is in the rear, loading is what the pic shows.

Update! 8/28/22

See the picture I have attached. I highly recommend that you not come in during these times. You will be held up. It takes them at least 30 minutes to change shifts and if you are on the premises you can not exit until the shift change is complete.

I don't know how your experience is going to be but for heartland Express we are a live unload. Please check in at the express lane at the blue trailer. They will send you around back to the scale. There you will find a very complicated yet detailed check in and check out procedure.

Horrible check in process. They take forever. They don't care that a drivers doesn't get paid while they are waiting over an hour to get checked in, it should only take 5 minutes. Get a new system

When the security guard cannot get in touch with people in the receiving department that's why I'm here by the way..... Something's wrong. When I finally got to the door I was supposed to check in I literally walked around and could not find no one to help me. You would think a place is big with so much going on they would be organized. Telling the broker that sent me here not to send me here ever again.
