Update!!! 10.03.2024
Drivers beware of leaving bad review. VERY sensitive beings on all sides! I was wondering how could such a small place have so many views on my reviews...well now I know! So petty and ridiculous!!!! They say "truth hurts"!!!
Delivering in a semi here is HORRIBLE!!! THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! IMO!! Most challenging place I've had to manuever, and I've had some doosies!!! But, this place takes the cake. And there's a guy here that had allllll the answers on what to do and how to do it because he's "seen" other drivers do it. So much for the sidewalk drivers. Anyway, there is absolutely no space to manuever or turn around. It's a very small parking lot on a very small street, and it's at an angle with obstacles (trees, signage, etc.). I came very early in the morning before it opened
(thot I'd get some sleep), but who knew they opened at 6am?!?!?! So, needless to say, I held everyone up for an extensive amount of time (10 min or so). It actually took me much longer to figure things out and finally get myself wedged into the dock. I've been driving for nearly a decade, and this one was my worst!!!!! Maybe the pics and info can help anyone else delivering to this location mentally prepare for what's to come. I'm sure they'll remember me for some time. BUT!!! I didn't hit anything, so I'm cool with that. I was tempted to challenge the sidewalk driver, but then I said screw 'em!!! I can't have anyone driving my rig. I just had to take my time and move methodically. He did mention that drivers usually turn into the lot across the street to get turned around (guess I was just supposed to know that) but in the dark it looked like an obstacle course so I didn't use it (pic with circled bldg.). And once you turn onto Dodd Street, there is no outlet or anywhere to turn around. In the pics, I'm the blue dot at the dock. I hope this helps "someone" in the future. Just take your time, and you'll eventually get it!!! There's clear damage from previous drivers!! Be ready if it's during business hours for the surrounding businesses because I have no idea what one would do in that case. The other pics are the view from the dock. Be safe, drivers!!!!
Edit: NOT sure what the person stating easy delivery was driving. Also, it appears there may be some other docks on a different part of the building, but they must not be using them anymore. There's a sign at front of building stating docks on Dodd St, so that took me around the back of the building. Not sure about overnight parking. Guess it may be possible to sleep on Dodd St. But remember, it's a regular two lane street (more like a residential street), and there is a warehouse on that street.
