Let me tell you how unprofessional family and children services are! My renewal for my kids insurance and EBT came in February said I had to complete it before march 15th to continue my kids insurance and EBT so I submitted the renewal in February way before march! Only for this case worker Higgins to send a letter talking about I need to do a verification checklist proof of a job I had in 2023 that I no longer have when I already submitted the same info the last time I renewed my kids insurance and EBT so why is she asking for this information again! I had to go to the staffing agency get a paper showing I don’t work for this place and I submitted it to the office at family and children services only for this women Higgins to still not submit my kids renewal she then sends out a statement for February 25th that I had a phone interview on march 3rd at 3pm along with a missed interview statement but never submitted the statement that i had a phone interview to my online portal about the phone interview until march 4th (how professional is that!!!!) and she never called me on march 3rd no missed call or voicemail! And i never received a paper statement of an interview in the mail until march 5th! So how was i to know ANYTHING about a phone interview…So I go to the office only to be told she sent an email to this lady for me to wait a few days to be rescheduled and this lady never did call to reschedule me and never sent nothing for a reschedule so I then call the number that’s listed on the missed call interview statement saying to call that number to reschedule. I called and it says it’s some woman name Nancy that they will return your call in two business days. It’s been over a week and I also called family children services customer service line and they even sent an email to this woman to reschedule me and she still failed and refuse to call me so at this point I need to speak with a supervisor because this woman is not trying to call me. She’s not doing her job. She’s very unprofessional and the last time she renewed my benefits she cost my children’s benefits because she pulled the same BS and I had to reapply for my children’s benefits when I have two children that go to a doctor on regular base with ADHD. I don’t have time for some unprofessional people in the office playing games and not renewing people’s benefits. very unprofessional to say the least! And I have 4 kids to feed!

The employees here are extremely lazy, unprofessional, and have no will to be of any help to anyone. I spoke to a lady named Patricia Watts over the phone after calling for over a month with no response. Patricia finally answered. She was rude, gave me zero information, and even hung up on me. The government is suppose to work for the people. All these people do is work against us. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with this office. I’ve made numerous reports to gov Kemp’s office and it seems nothing is ever done to change this. If they can’t do their job, or be willing to help at all, they need to find different employment. If I procrastinated as badly as they do, I would be fired. Why is it not that way for government workers? They should be held to a higher standard, but unfortunately they are not and they are able to get away with slacking off and being lazy! This is unacceptable and not the way any government program should work.

Waited for 31 minutes for one person to move an there was still 5 more people ahead of me. They need help. I just walked out. My time is more precious thank that. Go as soon as you can get there to beat the line. ( BEFORE THEY OPEN PREFERABLE )

I have a question for the Medicaid office but no one answers the phone and I don’t want to go up to the office for something that can be answered over the phone. It’s literally just a yes or no question. They just keep sending it to their automated service and none of the automated options actually help. They just tell you different numbers to call and then no one answers any of those numbers.

One of their workers yelled at me being rude like I’m one of their kids all because I ask for a supervisor the women who I just talked to 5 mins ago she didn’t give me her name at all she needs to be fired immediately. She has no business working with people especially in this kind of department talking down on people thinking you are better than everyone. You are completely in the wrong. I have every right to contact DFACS about my benefits. I don’t know who you think you are but best believe your supervisor will be contacted and I will be reporting you this phone call is being recorded so you can’t lie your way out of it . I did nothing to you for you to act that way towards me this is completely unacceptable !

This place is worthless..im a traumatic brain injury survivor and injad brain surgery in Florida 2 years ago and I moved here a few months ago and I'm supposed to he getting my medicaid through this office. And I'm on ssi and these people told me I'm not getting medicaid through dcf I'm getting it through the ssi office. So I went down the road to the ss office and they told me no I'm getting it through the food stamp office. So I went back to this place and they told me again. They won't help me here. And i desperately need my medicaid here I've been having sharp pains in my brain. And more seizures and they don't care. The woman behind the counter is to busy eating donuts instead of looking on the computer. If something happens to me you guys are gonna get sued out your a$$. And Karmas real. You reap what you sow

Nobody answers the phone no matter how many times you call. Even when I go there in person they are rude and not helpful at all. They cancelled my son’s insurance who doesn’t have a thyroid and needs regular doctor visits without saying anything because my wife charged her status to married . They didn’t put the correct household size or my income before making this decision. I’ve been trying to contact my case worker for two weeks. Me and my wife just don’t know what to do at this point this is ridiculous.
