I was looking for a way to create a large display of the United States to record all of the states as we travel. I spoke with John at DS metalworks and he quickly got back to me with sketches of ideas and understood what I was looking to do. He helped me create a beautiful piece of artwork! Highly recommend! DS Metal Works did a great job helping us build a custom surround for our fireplace that matched the insert unit perfectly! Their expert advice helped us design something that worked better than we initially thought (it hid the slight imperfections of the wall) and was amazingly easy for us to install. I’ve been a hobby welder for 10 years and have been to a lot of shops in a lot of different states. These guys are hands down the coolest. I went in with some questions and looking for help with an odd bicycle fabrication project and these guys (both the Johns) were extremely cool to work with. Really appreciated them taking the time even though I know they are busy with much bigger and more lucrative projects. Highly recommend checking them out for anything relating to metal work. They will be my go to for any future projects.

Quick, no nonsense, professional service. I needed a custom adapter fabricated for some flu venting. I'd been to 2 other firms and was told "cant help you". The folks at DS listened to my dilema, asked a few questions and said. "No Problem".

The price quote was more than I expected, but the final product was worth every penny. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.

I had a wonderful experience at DS Metal Works. The nice young man at the counter helped me out so much. I didn’t have a clue about what I really wanted, but he guided me and after a few minutes a I had a sketch of what I needed perfectly. They even called me when they had completed my order before the due date they had given me!!! 12/10 I would recommend!! They are worth the money!

I took a bed frame to them based on the reviews. I was quoted an estimate of $100-125 and was told it was a pretty simple job. Three weeks later, after several calls from me, I was told it was ready - and the cost was over 3 times what I was quoted!! They never called to tell me anything before just assuming it was fine to pay 3 times what I was told! When I picked it up and asked to speak to a Manager, I was told they were all gone but the woman said she would talk to them and call me back by Monday afternoon (yesterday). Needless to say, they never called. To top it all off, they made the support cross pieces too short and they still won't fit the frame!!! So, now I must either get them cut again or find another way to make them work. In the meantime, my daughter is sleeping with her mattress on the floor. Based on my experience with what should have been a simple, inexpensive job, I would NEVER recommend Dixie Sheet Metalworks!
