Granola bars on the shelf ranged from expired back in July to expired in March. Check expiration dates on every thing you purchase. Watch sale prices as well because I've had plenty of sale items ring up full price. Can't wait for this place to go under and a real company to come in.

Two separate occasions recently I purchased groceries and came home to find some stuff was moldy on the bottom even though the best by date was still a week away. I also received food that was expired but their store sticker was on to mark it down and extended the expiration date past what was on the item by over a week! They're extremely overpriced and all the times I've been there, I've only met two friendly employees. Everyone else is just miserable every time I see them. I take the trip to food Lion instead cause at least I know I'll be getting fresh groceries. It's a shame cause it has so much potential in this town to do great but a lot needs to change.

Old dried bread falls apart when I go to make a sandwich or molded & the bread falls into dust in your hands. The milk is out-dated and/or soured when brought home so you are better off to buy NASTY buttermilk. Cakes and pies are dried and/or molded because they're sold out of date so they need to buy from other companies that have better in-dated products. The meat is green.

Handy as pockets to this rural area. Prices are a bit high but convince is important and the beer is always cold! Best grocery store in Rural Retreat for sure. Better prices are at Walmart but that's another 20 miles away. Clean and we'll stocked and the folks are always friendly.

The absolute worst customer service amd lack of caring.
The managers are rude at best and apparently do not care to loose business and long time customers and if that's not enough top it off with over the top prices on everything.

Expect out of date products everywhere and way above average pricing on everything. For instance today I had to go by there for eggs. They had around 9 cartons of eggs they went out of date 3 days ago on clearance for 1.17. Walmart had same size eggs for .92 not on clearance. That's just one example of many I have.

Almost always fast & friendly service. Of course it's not priced like Wal-Mart but it sure does have food city beat all to pieces. I am in here at least 4 times per week.

A pro is there are no crowds. You'll see things less, equal, or more expensive than Walmart here. In meats you find better deals and also because many are local. Now in produce they're way expensive. A lemon 0.99 cents (12/26/2018, consider inflation year to year) a lemon can be found at Walmart now between 25 and 33 cents. A pepper $2.49. Now the apples are less expensive. Is good to do some shopping here but not all. Also is very convenient in a place like Rural Retreat.
