Went during fall( end of October). It was very beautiful and colorful during this time . Pictures don’t represent the actual beauty of this place. Very long route and we only covered half of it. People were enjoying the colorful mountains view. Was Charged $30 for 7 days of access for a single vehicle. Was able to visit one waterfall as well. Loved this trip and will visit again.

Shenandoah National Park in early spring offers a different kind of beauty—still quiet and just waking up from winter. While the trees may not be fully green yet, the views are wide open, and the bare landscape has its own charm. The trails are well-marked and enjoyable, especially the ones leading to rocky overlooks and waterfalls.

Beautiful drive along the mountain ridge. There are many points for you to park and hike right off of sky line drive and many outlooks to stop and take photos at. I really enjoyed my time here.

I went in April mid-week and many trees were still bear of leaves, but the park wasn't very crowded, which was nice. I look forward to visiting again in the summer or fall to check it out in those seasons.

WATCH OUT FOR DEER and dont go too fast on the road. They were all along the road and blended in so well I could easily see somebody not paying attention missing them.

What a great experience. Beautiful landscape and plenty of trails for us and our toddler to enjoy. We went in April which was cooler and nice. Plenty parking and picnic areas and the skyline drive was nice. We really enjoyed the dark hollow falls, hawksbill, and story man summit trails. Definitely a great weekend getaway.

The symphony of avian melodies and the gentle murmur of distant streams composed a harmonious overture to our expedition. Panoramic vistas unfurled before us, revealing the majestic embrace of the Blue Ridge Mountains, their mist-kissed peaks standing sentinel over the horizon.

Each step along the undulating trails was a communion with the earth's ancient soul, the scent of pine and wildflowers mingling in the crisp mountain air. The interplay of light and shadow painted ephemeral masterpieces upon the forest floor, inviting moments of reflection and reverence.

Absolutely gorgeous place. My aunt and uncle took us there last summer and I cannot stop talking about it. This scenery you cannot find anywhere else. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!

Not sure how you can rate it less than 5 stars. Beauty all around! Very well maintained road, trails, campground, and facilities, and very friendly park staff. Just wish we had time to explore the other 490+ miles of trails!
