I was looking around Seattle for anyone who sells stainless steel or aluminum angle iron. Most stores only sell plain steel or small gauge aluminum. I needed a brick lintel that would hold up under exterior use. I stumbled across metal shorts and the folks there helped me find exactly what I needed. They seem to be the only ones in town who sell stainless or aluminum angle iron. Good selection and good support. Thank you.

The whole team at Metal Shorts has been fantastic! Debbie and Catherine are always pleasant to deal with when getting quotes and are prompt at arranging my order- communication about when orders will be ready are great. David and Ramone have also always been friendly in shop; they help with loading up my order right away, and have been on-time when I needed it delivered.

I’ve found Metal Shorts prices comparable to the big supply houses, and I appreciate that I’ve been able to go to them for big orders down to picking small pieces off their shelf as their name suggests. And, its really nice to deal with a local company with a team that treats you with care.

Superior service and pricing and a very well-run small business. I put a steel quote out for bid and Metal Shorts was timely, accurate and about 25% less than Bloch, Everett and Online Metals. Just today I picked up a half dozen lengths of tube steel; emailed Debbie at 7:30am and picked up at noon, how's that for responsive!?! I don't buy a lot of steel but when I do buy steel I buy it at Metal Shorts.

Outstanding customer service! Debbie was great and the job was well done but I messed up the measurements. After calling back and placing a reorder with corrections, my second piece arrived in a hurry, looking better than the first! There was a minor issue with billing that Debbie corrected in one phone call. This company has my recommendation!

Sour attitude and not willing to help. I had good luck with this business in the past. However today, I was reprimanded for not calling in my order in advance. Then the person at the front desk was complaining about her mask, was rude to me, and was yelling at other employees in the back about answering the phone.
And as I tried to describe the pieces I needed, she handed me a note pad and told me to write it down. I was hoping for more helpful temperament and a little assistance with my order. Turns out the person at the front desk was the president (Debbie). I won’t be returning.

Debbie's customer service is 2nd to none! I traveled to our Tukwila store from Portland to setup some equipment in our new shop and I was missing a critical piece. I called Metal Shorts and Debbie was able to have the piece made for me within a few hours. I would recommend this company to anyone and will give them all of my future business.

Up front staff this morning seem lost and could not figure out where my order was and had an attitude. I know it wasn’t just me because my finance noticed she had an attitude and another customer noticed as well. The guys in the back were awesome and that was it. Went to metal supermarket in Kent half the cost and amazing customer service.
