First off, We’ve used WetEdge products for over 15 years, and absolutely love the company, the diversity of products and colors, and best of all the support we get as a pool builder. My favorite finish is their polished pebble - Primera Stone! It’s been in my pool for 15 years, and my kids won’t swim with any other rough surface ! LOL.

Secondly, was surprised to see negative reviews - and most have to do with application and expectations. I’ve put in over 1000 wet edge pools and reading these homeowner reviews is comical …. Most of the pics have nothing to do with WetEdge products - and just bad pool building….

At the end of the day, I build luxury badass pools, and You can’t go wrong using WetEdge for your interior finish! Just find the right builder!

If you want a flat surface pool, DO NOT use Wet Edge products. We spent over $200K for our pool project which included a 16ft x 32ft rectangular pool with a sun lounge - nothing exotic - just straight lines. Well - my ENTIRE pool surface is uneven - it looks and feels like the surface of the moon.

My pool company refused to take responsibility stating that it was the Wet Egde product… Long story short - a Wet Edge representative visited the pool, spent leas than 1 minute on the ledge, said there was nothing wrong and that the “imperfections” were a normal part of the product because it was hand troweled.

When we told them of the ankle twisting because of the unevenness and the overall inclines of it - the gentleman said “just wear shoes and don’t look at the surface”. Yes - a direct quote.

Considering the cost of pools, it is not relevant how any product is applied - I don’t think it’s a big ask to have a flat / even surfaced pool. Clearly Wet Edge has a different opinion.

It is difficult to capture the unevenness on film, but here’s a sense…

Is it a Wet Edge product issue or the manufacture certified workmanship issue?

On 2024-08-10, The Wet Edge certified company, xxxxx, Irving, Texas, did my pool replastering. There are leaks after the replastering, but they failed to fix the leaks.

On 2024-11-22, after they applied many ugly dark grey leak patches in every pool corners(see attached eight photos), they refused to continue to resolve the leak issue. They said they've already done their best to try to fix it even there are still more leaks somewhere in the pool.

On 2024-11-27, they said that they will redo the tiles to remove all possible leaks in tile area.

Absolutely love the WetEdge experience! Be Cautious!!!!

Not sure if the product is bad or if the workmanship of the application was bad, because my pool builder (Mid Cities Pools in Hurst TX) points to Wet Edge, who states there is no warranty for a small (quarter size) came loose, Neither Wet Edge nor Mid Cities (Wet Edges customer) will stand behind a 15 year written warranty. The below is the statement of review I gave to the pool builder including a picture of the defect and a copy of their written warranty.

Customer service seemed fantastic at first. Follow up and follow through was stellar!!
However we needed to call them back for an issue with the pool light, to which they said it was not under warranty and would be a service call and to call the contractor they recommended. All for an item that would probably take 20 minutes and a new light ring to fix.
The pool came with a 3 year warranty and still has a little under two years left. Not sure that means anything if Mid City Pools decides they don't want to honor it.
We will just pay someone to come and repair. Wish their moral compass was a little stronger.

Wow Mid Cities has restored my original perception of being a top self company!

I received a call from the owner whom read my review of dissatisfaction. He very professionally explained the breakdown in communication and was expedient to take care of the issue. This is the type of customer service we all hope to give as well as receive. I highly recommend using Mid Cities Pools for any goods and services they can provide...The entire Greene family absolutely will!

Based on the above we decided to use Mid Cities to build our next pool...and did...Evidently old behaviors DO NOT change. We built a new home and pool about 4 years ago in Colleyville. Mid Cities ability to deliver good customer service throughout the construction was not great, but we did suffer through it. However there were issues they refused to address at the end of the build and now we have an issue with the Pebble Tech Plaster we selected.

1. The issue on the build was the spa was not centered (off to the left by about 10 inches) and the spillway out of the spa is also off center about 4-5 inches. (See Picture) We felt stuck and to fix this would be to costly for us to bare on our own!

2. Recently (April of this year) we had a spot of plaster come off. In all fairness it is small (about the size of a quarter). So we looked up our plaster warranty which it clearly states it has a 15 year warranty, which is what they sold to us (see picture of warranty) However even though we presented to Mid Cities, their own written warranty stating it is covered, they blamed the plaster manufacture and will not honor their warranty. The manufacture (Wet Edge) says it is not the product but the workmanship....which I tend to agree. Non the less Mid Cities says they are not responsible and if we want it repaired it will cost us between $500 and $1000...end of discussion.

We will fix our plaster, but it won't be thru Mid Cities. Can't afford to spend another dime with them..

In closing if you choose to build with Mid Cities, Be Cautious, they don't have a very good history in honoring their commitments!

I had Absolute horrible experience, trying to get them to cover my pool for a warranty that should have been for at least eight more years. They told me that this was not a product issue even though I provided everything they wanted showed them all the chemicals were balanced. I got an email on accident from their secretary, saying that she told me it wasn’t covered and that they didn’t even need to review it. I contacted the CEO who wanted nothing to do with the conversation or to hear how the process was going. They say their product last for a long time it does not. Don’t waste your money and don’t try to contact them. They will give you the runaround and basically tell you They will tell you who to go to so that you can reuse their product but pay to get it Done. I ended up having to get my pool resurfaced and cost me a lot of money out of pocket, but do not use their product!!!!

Wet Edge is an absolute must use product in the swimming pool industry. GSI Pool Finishes of Ambler PA, whom I represent uses Wet Edge in nearly 3000 pools a year that we average. It's proven and tested, and you can trust it.

Wet Edge offers a big variety of great pool finishes, surely to have a color and texture option you’re looking for in your pool. Definitely recommend!
