Pro: the only company around here that will deepen a well.

Cons: provided a quote to deepen a well that apparently did not include setting the pump lower.

Pulled approximately 250 ft of pipe from the well and charged to start drilling at 240 ft. When questioned about it, the owner stated that regardless of if they "miscalculated" that they always drill 10 ft deeper than they charge for. First of all, a first grader could understand that if there is 250 feet of pipe in the well that it's physically impossible that the well only goes to 240 feet. That is not a "miscalculation". Second, the driller told me they drilled to 480 ft, I was charged to drill to 480 feet, and somehow I'm supposed to all of a sudden believe that there is a phantom 10 feet that makes up for their "miscalculation".

After multiple delays the driller told me he would be back the next morning and then didn't show up. I wanted to ask for better communication so I called the owner and started by stating I was getting a little frustrated. He immediately cussed at me threatened to drive away and then blamed me for a mistake his driller made (who had already taken full responsibility) because I didn't double check their work.

To do the job they had to dismantle the set up and move my holding tank and they charged me $2k to do that and then set it back up. All of the pipes were insulated when they started but once everything was set back up the insulation was hanging off the pipes. The driller told me he would come back within the week to reinsulate the pipes and then never showed back up. When I emailed the owner two weeks later he responded that they certainly would not be reinsulating my pipes because "no one does that without charging extra". I was led to believe that that would put everything back the way it was and paid good money for them to do that. Additionally, the pipes were insulated before they started by another well company that professionally installed everything and insulating the pipes was not a separate charge.

To top it off, when it was all said and done, I brought up his completely disrespectful and unprofessional conduct in cussing at me and blaming me for his guy's mistake. His response was essentially that regardless of how he acted, they are the only ones around here that will deepen a well and that I should be grateful they deigned to do take one the job. The job that ultimately cost me approximately 65% more than the original quote.

He used to have a good reputation in the area but apparently him and his company have zero professionalism or integrity at this point. In hindsight I wish I had just had a new well drilled from a different company than to give my money to a crook like him.

Be very wary and if you do decide to do business with him, I would recommend you scrutinize everything and be ready to walk away if something isn't right because he certainly won't make it right or stand by anything him or his employees say.
