First time customer this year they did a good job on my Ft Knox buck. I read some of the reviews and I was hesitant to take them a deer, but I like to take deer to the processor quickly after harvesting. I am very impressed with the quick turnaround and they delivered a great product. Happy with how much meat I got back on a ~170lb deer I shot in the shoulder. Excellently butchered and packaged meat, and the price is good for this region. I think people that complain about low yield on their meat from here don't realize that this guy provides an incredibly neat trim compared to others. I've taken deer to processors all over KY and this was by far the best cut. Will save me a lot of time in the kitchen.
Was he all sunshine and rainbows when I showed up? No. Will I be a return customer? Absolutely.

Great and fair pricing. Got my deer back and not someone else's like other places and got back around what I expected in weight wise. Steve and his team know what they're doing and a straight shooter. Taking my deer to him from now on when I get one.

We dropped a deer off and ended up getting shorted 10-20lbs of meat. Wasn’t a big deal until the man running things got extremely hostile over simple questions about it. When the customer is the one trying to defuse the conversation all while the man running things is doing the opposite is ridiculous. The customer service here is flat out unacceptable for any place of business! Reply: Funny how you wanna be cordial on your reviews when you were nothing but nasty and rude earlier. As far as the yield is concerned, we were expecting more than 30% and by god it better be quality meat since you wasted half of it.

Extremely unprofessional and egotistical. We dropped this deer (in photo) off to have everything besides tenderloin and backstrap ground up. Ended up getting back 30lbs total off a 120lb deer. When we went to pick up the head, I mentioned the light yield. This conversation with the owner went from casual to hostile in a matter of seconds. According to the owner 15-20 people have the same issue every year here. From there the conversation went on to the owner trying to lecture me on deer processing in a demeaning way. To put it simply, this place will waste almost half the meat on a deer that isn't a "good cut" instead of taking the time to get the most out of it. To wrap our conversation up the owner insisted that if I wasn't happy with the service to go somewhere else. This was my first and last time ever dealing with this joke of a business. Showalters does the same quality the owner here preaches about for the same price with almost twice the yield and none of the poor service. Atleast now I know that me and everyone I know won't be doing business here. I'm not new to deer processing and processors, this one takes the cake of being the absolute worst. Even if we were just shorted meat it wouldn't be bad if the owner wouldn't have persisted in a hostile manner antagonizing me. The way we were treated after poor service is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable for any place of business. I hope this review helps people save time and money by going elsewhere.

My family and I were lifelong patrons of Bennett’s in Glendale. Once they went out of business my dad started doing his own processing and I honestly stopped hunting. This year I took my son for youth weekend and he got his first deer. I made a couple calls and was told about this company. I pulled up the site and saw Veteran owned. That automatically made them a front runner in my opinion. I called and was able to take the deer right then. These guys are awesome. Just a military guy with a dream and he’s making it happen. Super good dude and I will honestly be sticking with them for all my processing needs from here on out. Everything was super simple. No issues at all from my end. He even has a program to donate a deer to feed people in need as well. Couldn’t ask for a better place to get my business from. Lifelong member for sure
