Fair Prices, Knowledgeable, Friendly, Helpful a very professional. I was at Butcher True value hardware yesterday, with my son And we needed a long list of items which they had every single one and roofing material, which they had everything priced fairly. The store is very organized, huge piece of property and lots of inventory. The girls at the register are very kind and welcoming. Actually, the whole staff was very helpful. Each time I went to different section there was someone close by to To offer information. A staff member named Juan was also very helpful.

The staff is nice and will help you out, but be careful.Some of the stuff they may sell.You may not have all the parts in it.

Butchers Block sold me a specific grade of lumber for decking and upon delivery about 50% was damaged (rotted, 10ft long cracks, gashes on the top of the boards). The owner Glenn didn't like that I wanted to return the damaged pieces and keep the non-damaged boards. He only kept repeating "That's how I get it from the mill." And "No, you can't look in the yard at my inventory." I'm not sure why Glenn would not want to make the situation right. It may be how you got it from the mill, but that doesn't mean you can sell it to me damaged. You wouldn't sell someone a new window with broken glass, just because it arrived at your shop like that.
Very poor customer service! It's too bad you can't trust this business owner.

Typical Big Bear business. Way over priced, crap inventory, and make up their own hours.
I showed up at 2:20, doors are locked with a closed sign on the door. Website and front door say they close at 3.
Il spend the extra gas and go to home depot next time.

Worked in Big Bear last week and paid a few visits here. Great customer service and very fair prices for being up the mountain! Definitely will continue to shop here!
PS: This place isnt racist like DIY Home Center down the street. So bring your business to Butcher’s! 👍🏽
