The owner ran a couple of businesses - a gas station, a grocery store, a hardware store, a motel, a food truck, and a laundromat with showers. Therefore, we checked in at the grocery store.||The room was clean. The bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. We asked for a quiet room and got one behind the store building. It did shield out lots of highway noise. We took a walk after dinner in the nice neighborhood.

Booked this place for a weekend trip to Big Pine Lakes. It ended up being not bad for a motel. Our room was decently clean and spacious. The nice thing is that it is also pet friendly! Would recommend for anyone that is looking for an affordable, convenient, close place to stay.

I didn’t plan on staying here, but due to some car trouble I wound up desperate for a hotel late on a Wednesday night.

The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and extremely helpful.

This is the kind of motel that people think about when they talk about small towns being friendly and lovely places to stay. Highly recommended.

Great price, and location, the wooden floors felt dirty and left my feet dark, and the white walls were dirty and the corner of the rooms had cobwebs in them

I’m not sure what the negative reviews are all about? Maybe the place is under new management now?
The staff was just fine and checkin inside the gas station was no problem. If the guy behind the corner seems abrupt, he’s just to the point. The building has a cool cabiny vibe. For that I paid, I fully got my value’s worth: the heather got warm quickly and the tv worked fine, the bed and room were comfy and clean; the bathroom was clean with a working toilet and the shower was hot; WiFi works well, and the fridge & microwave were handy. Great value and would stay again. Not As nice as a couple of places in Bishop, but plenty affordable and worth the very short drive to and from town.

Clean,comfortable, small tv, convenient, proximity to the only store , they got a gas station , no cancelation fee, close to the big pine creek, nice people, good customer service,

Easy check-in at the gas station next door. The room was spacious and functilnal to stay the night. Quiet place despite being located next to the main street.
