I called Medequip this morning with a billing question. The rep I spoke with was such a pleasure to talk to ! She was very Professional and willing to take the time to help with my questions. She came across as Friendly, Courteous, and a Genuinely nice Person. I am a recently retired small business owner here in North Carolina, I actually sold my business in Dec 2024. This Lady is exactly the type of person I was looking for whenever I was hiring. This Lady's name is Megan Reyes. Employees like Megan don't come along often enough so my hat's off to Medequip for finding this Gem !

Most fraudulent company. Charged me $500 for a piece of plastic that has nothing innovative or special about it. $76 for a SOCK!! Are you kidding me? Is it made out of gold. It’s for a 9yo kid. And the piece of plastic broke after 3 weeks. Wire shredded and knotted and proves useless.
I contacted them to return the defective item and the $76 sock but have not heard back.
Save your pocketbook and find a different supplier.

Beware of this company. They seem to be engaging in balance billing, which is illegal in California. Despite my insurance already covering the costs for a CPM rental, they sent me an additional bill. According to my Explanation of Benefits (EOB), my responsibility was $0, yet they attempted to charge me nearly half of what they billed my insurance. They are an in-network provider, and their justification was that I had signed a waiver to pay the remaining amount. However, under California law, it's illegal for in-network providers to ask patients to waive their rights by signing such waivers. Their representatives, particularly Julie, also seem unaware of AB72, which protects consumers from surprise bills. Their response, after I explained all of this to them, was "Oops, we billed the wrong code".

And even for out-of-network providers, the following is true "Out-of-network doctors must provide consumers with a written estimate of the consumer’s total out-of-pocket cost of care at the time the consent is provided, and cannot collect more than the estimated amount without authorization, unless unforeseeable circumstances arise".

My experience with Medequip has been overly positive. Getting my brace was great and no hassle. I recently received the bill and had to make calls to their billing dept and my insurance and the billing dept (Ashley) was extremely helpful and assisted in getting my issues resolved by working with the insurance directly and helped them identify the issue on their end. Any moment I don't have to deal with that sort of stuff is a blessing, so thank you so much Ashley!

He attempted to help me with a special circumstance and thought about different avenues he could pursue to get it done. If he lived where my business was located, I would steal him away!
