We raise beef on small acreage, one at a time, usually starting with bottle calves. We're able to sell two quarters to friends and save half for our family, (which lasts about two years.)
Old Salt Meats did a super job for us last winter. Johnny, Zach and Jason orchestrated each aspect of the butchering process.
We appreciate the mobile slaughter for less stress on the animal, as well as it being a very humane way of harvesting livestock. I hope Old Salt can continue this service.
The crew was helpful in communicating specific cutting instructions with all customers and dividing quarters out. We're very happy with our meat, the packaging, the relationships and the jobs created in the community.
We also appreciate the respect Old Salt folks have for animals we've spent time and money to care for and raise.

Old Salt Meat Company is top shelf! All it took was one phone call with Zach to have my live pig I purchased from a local farmer turned into wonderfully processed and vacuum-packed cuts of pork! They took care of everything, from slaughter to transport, and were absolutely gems. Even the farmer said what excellent and professional work they did on the site. Clean facility, excellent customer service, beautifully prepared meat - I will absolutely be using them again!

Starting getting our meat from here and it is top notch quality. Make burgers for a bbq and didn’t tell anyone where we got the meat but everyone was asking! They knew it was from somewhere other than the grocery store. Everyone is also always so nice when I go get it. Will continue to only shop here for beef.

We have had our lambs processed by the Old Salt team for two years, and they do a fantastic job. Very professional, friendly staff, top notch service and the final product is the best we've seen. We won't take our lambs anywhere else.

I placed an order for pickup and it was ready for pickup within 24 hours. Brats were a hit at a training group lunch. Steaks and pork chops were delicious and in perfect portions. I wish I lived closer so I had better access.

In every facet of their business Old Salt and their respective brands does everything at the highest level. Whether it be the best burger in Helena with locally raised beef and local potatoes, to an amazing first year food and music festival, to catering and local events, to an awesome direct to consumer meat program. When they say meat with integrity, they mean it.

These guys processed an Elk for me last year. The cuts were great and they had an excellent yield. For a small fee, they were able to expedite it as well. Awesome.
