Go somewhere else! This location is awful! The customer service is horrible. The kid with the snowboard glasses and the JTT haircut is rude. Where are the other employees Had the unfortunate experience of returning twice here. Both times were awful. Tucson locations were much nicer and also agreed the Flagstaff location was rude.

I normally do not write reviews, but I am completely unhappy with this business. Two days before my family is supposed to move across the country, a representative from the U-Haul in Flagstaff tells us that they cannot give us the truck or the trailer that we reserved well in advance. They said it was due to the high number of students moving in and out of town at this time, but if that were the case, we should not have been able to book the rental materials in the first place.
They offered to give us the materials we wanted several days later, but that is impossible, as my husband and I are starting our jobs immediately and delaying a few days would cause us to miss work. They then told us they had a 26' truck and trailer (we ordered a 15' truck and trailer) at another location. While they offered us this truck at no additional cost, that does not factor in the additional costs we might spend on gas now, or the fact that our belongings might move around more in a space that size, and things can get damaged. To say that I am livid is an understatement.

The only comment I have to make about this U-Haul location is about the stairwell. For this reason I cannot rate this location as excellent. About 3 months ago, I got locked in the stairwell while trying to access my unit. There was no signage on any of the doors or surrounding areas to inform users that the stairs would be locked and not to use them. At the time of the incident, there was only about 45 minutes left until the office was closing and I could have been forced to use the emergency exit instead of asking someone to open the door for me. This was an unacceptable event to occur. Upon returning to Flagstaff after summer to clear out my unit, there was still no signage placed on or near the doorway of the stairs. This is dangerous and unmaintainable while users operate in the building.

I’d give it no stars if I could, the worst customer experience I have ever received. I ordered a van for 3 days to hold my family’s furniture while we move during the period that our truck is in the shop. The morning of the 2nd day they called saying I was late to turn it in and that it was reserved for someone else. So it turns out they double booked it and now me and my wife are paying the price for their mistake. All that they would agree to was giving me back my security deposit if the van was stolen. Long story short all of our furniture that can’t fit in the small hotel room is sitting on the curb in the parking lot. I shouldn’t have to choose what possessions I wouldn’t mind someone stealing. Do not go here. You are better off spending more money on a big rental van than doing business with a bunch of high school and college age kids who don’t care about anything besides their paycheck.

Customer service rep Jamie was super professional, quick, and helpful. All my needs were met in minimal time. Plus the ubox service is just an insane deal for the value.

After reserving a 26-foot truck weeks in advance for our household move to Phoenix we texted less than 48 hours prior to the move that our truck was not available. When I called, and after waiting on hold for half an hour, I was told there was a 20-foot truck available with a trailer. They wanted to charge me extra for the trailer. I asked to speak to a manager which was declined and the associate told me she would check. She came back to say they would not offer me a discount.

After calling the local store a second time and asking for a free trailer, they called the same "manager" and I was told they would give me $25 off. This does not begin to compensate for the extra expense and time that will be incurred. Neither person I spoke to seemed at all concerned about me or how this inconvenienced my family during a stressful move.

UHaul has always been known for excellent service. I found yesterday that not only do they not care about customers, they also state that they don't care. When I told them I was not happy, neither associate demonstrated kindness or understanding. I am extremely disappointed.

I am a mother of 2 disabled kids. Last week I was evicted, the movers I had hired decided not to do their job and last minute I need a uhaul truck. I had to make so many split decisions in a short amount of time and I ended up dealing with too many rude people to count. U-Haul was the one and only company that was never rude to me, went above and beyond for me, and actually helped me out during a very traumatic event in my little family's life. Kurt, Griffin, Echo, McKenzie and many names I just don't recall were patient and empathetic with me when I overstepped my 16-hour reservation by 2 days. This company was a calm voice. Thank you, U-Haul Flagstaff

I guess I was lucky. I had the best experience of getting a truck from them. My personal truck broke down and had to tow a 12’ trailer. I called the main number and was transferred to the main reservations operator who had scheduled me a truck. Luckily Kathy, the manager, called to confirm and I gave her the details of why I needed it and she set up the correct size truck to pull the trailer. Seems like the operation was only going by her help guide in recommendations. But Kathy who is actually in and around the trucks knows her stuff. On pick up day, Jasmine was super helpful, patient and nice with my vehicle and hitch selection. Then I had to transfer my ball to the new hitch and Kathy also made that happen. The only drawback is that they are under staffed. When the college kids have to go to class, then it can just be Kathy there working the customer service and one mechanic guy. So they need to hire more help. But besides the staffing, this place did me right. Hell yeah. I lived in Flagstaff I would use them again.
