I called several companies here in the SLC Valley for quotes for window well covers for our home being built up in Midway. They actually come out and measure each window and build them specifically for that window well. The other companies basically guessed or wanted me to do the measuring which was a recipe for disaster. Diamond back was "EXCEPTIONAL" in every way. Best service, best price, and best quality. I could not have been more impressed!

I paid for 2 custom window well covers. They look great!

The problems come from the team. I paid upfront for the window well covers in August 2022 to lock in the pricing for a deal they were running. I was ready for them to install the covers in October 2022, which they did. But the technician left metal tools on my patio. I notified the company but it took them multiple weeks before he came back to get them. During that time, the tools left rust stains in 3 areas on the patio. I sent them pictures and descriptions of the stains as soon as I found them. I continued to text and call them for the next 4 months to try to get the stains removed. Despite all those pictures, texts and phone calls, our patio still hasn't been cleaned from all stains.

The owner, Jed, came to our house today to look at the stains. He immediately accused me of creating the stains and wanting them to clean them up. He also tried to force me to pay them more money for the window wells even though I paid for the window well covers upfront (7 months ago). He said I was lying because I couldn't tell him, from memory, the exact amount that I paid for the window well coverings 7 MONTHS AGO.

I'm very disappointed that I supported a business whose owner is so unprofessional and dishonest.

Honestly I was just shocked that I wasn’t offered any accommodation other than putting me to the “top” of their list when it took weeks to get my window well covers installed. They came and measured and told me I did not need to be home and then two weeks later they were installed but on the wrong house. They had to come measure again and then came back a week later and one of the window well covers didn’t fit so again they had to measure and come back a week later and finally got both window well covers done. When they called for final payment I just honestly expected a discount for all the trouble with getting them installed but instead they said they had to eat the cost of putting them on the wrong house and having to remeasure which obviously was not my fault and felt like I deserved a discount and was very kind about it but they still said no and just wanted all the money. Disappointed in the service.

I worked with Lisa to get quotes on 4 window well covers, and Seth did the prep and install work. Really great experience with this company. Lisa went over all the details and options to consider (and brought up something I hadn't considered) and Seth was friendly and got the measurements perfect so the install looked great.

Reasons I would recommend Diamondback for your window wells:
- Price: I reached out to 3 other companies and diamondback had the best price by at least $15 per cover.
- Quality: The other companies I talked to had weight limits of 300 and 400 pounds on their window well covers, but diamondback covers are rated at 750 pounds. Stronger welding for a lower price than the competition? Sign me up!
- Reliable: They were on-time to both appointments at my home (initial measurements and install) and their time-frame for install was exactly what Lisa told me it would be at the beginning of our interaction.

I love this company! They were very professional, and made our window well covers in a timely manner. They made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction, and when we had a concern about one part of the process, they went above and beyond to fix it. Jason came out to our home to install the covers, and I was impressed with his attention to detail, friendliness, and concern for our approval. I always knew exactly when they were coming to our home, and they were on time...it was refreshing not to have to wait around for someone to show up! Should have read other reviews and listened. Don't use this company. Window well covers took over 2 months. First visit, they forgot the templates to measure. After waiting a few weeks longer than they told us, they came to deliver the window well covers. They forgot one cover and had to bring it back the next day. One window cover didn't include the extra mesh add on, which they admitted was a mistake. A week or so later they came out again and window cover didn't fit. Another week or so, and they finally delivered the corrected cover. All in all they had to come to our house 6 times, took much longer than we were promised. Not worth the hassle or money. Wanted these covers for the summer but the summer is now basically over.
