Where do I even begin ? This church has absolutely changed my life and I don’t even live in Arizona. I came to the DOR Intensive and it was incredible. From the moment I drove onto the church property for the first time I began to weep because of how powerful I felt the presence of God. The dynamite prayer and intercession, the anointed worship, and the powerful preaching of God’s Word is evident in this house. They carry a sound, a song, and a cry not only for their city and region, but for an entire nation. Every person on their team is incredible. Experiencing the way they cultivate an atmosphere for His Presence to flow and also being a recipient of their kindness and hospitality as a visitor truly made an impact on me. I honor this house and its pastors and leadership and everyone who is a part of Fresh Start Church. God is doing amazing things here and if you live in Arizona you definitely need to get here! And even if you don’t, it’s worth the visit and the plane ride across the country to get here…?⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️

Holy Spirit filled church!! If you're a baby christian and easily offended. This is not the place that will baby you. This place will tell you the importance in fasting, prayer, reading, and worshipping. This place will show you the importance of staying out of your feelings and flesh. People rush here because of the drive to be at the masters feet. The eagerness to be in presence of the Lord is here from the members. No bad reviews from me.

Sat.6pm. 8/21/21. first time. Revival event; friend invited me & my guy. It was overwhelming, and by that I do *not* mean the emotional & enthusiastic expressions of God’s love. No. I totally appreciate a lively church: singing, crying, dancing, praying in tongues, etc. All that is beautiful! But here, there was some serious sensory assault, no exaggeration! The AC was freeeeziiiing!!! People were visibly pent up shivering. I was wearing long pants, boots, jacket & Wish I would’ve brought a blanket; almost left just Bc of that. Also, the volume was *incredibly* PAINFUL!!! They were yelling at the absolute top of their lungs+more, into a fully turnt up microphone! While the rock band & drums, playing full blast! I get it, don’t wanna limit the joy. But jeeeez, put that mic down when you shout as loud as humanly possible—or turn down the volume, seriously—in a medium size auditorium. My guy & I both left with migraines!! The music itself was wonderful: true talent. I enjoyed it, other than the awful magnitude. Yes, share out loud what the Lord is speaking. All I’m asking is to not permanently injure me. im someone who worked in live music & bars for years. So if it’s too much for even me, that’s severe! The lights were way too bright also; had my guard up, Bc of that. I honestly DID want to go forward to the alter & pray together. I was not weirded out by people face down, fully in the spirit. I was stopped by the fact of, someone would have to ask what I need prayer for. I would’ve had to go hoarse to scream 3x into their ear. I’d miss the beautiful prayer spoken over me. I understand the “God wants us to let it all out, shamelessly” vibe. Not making fun of that. I agree with it! But I’m still recovering, was actually relieved once we left... I was honestly just really confused at the sermons: so extremely metaphorical, I had almost nooo ideaaa what he was talking about. I like metaphors, but give me some context: a specific Bible verse/story ur describing, what connection ur making? I’ve got plenty of church experience, any denomination. Various demographic groups, styles of music, etc. I’m privy to scripture. I wanted to hear something from The Good Book. where on earth are you coming from? what’s your actual message, dude? Lost me. They asked: Who’s here for the 1st time? About half the room stood up (me). You’d have thought they’d make things more—Understandable? Too much geared toward regulars who know the “inside scoop”. I mean, they’d get up there, go ON & ON about “remember this event?” or that “celeb pastor” joining us, or “that thing that happened to us in the media” (What are you talking about!? Tell us the story!) I think this was some sort of touring group? My friend had to explain everything, like a translator for me—ha! However ~ they do seem genuine, on fire & hungry for God; fully convinced to be interested in nothing else but Jesus; authentic love poured out on people; didn’t matter what you look like or where you’re at w God. Just wish this were more gentle; moments of relief. Like maybe a slower song. Candles. Dim the lights, let’s get in the zone about it. I’d consider coming back, during some less of a “Promo” type event & maybe if I don’t feel my brain being rattled out of my skull. Loud & proud is cool. But there’s a limit!
