This spot is a hidden gem

It has everything you could possibly need all in one location.

They make the food fresh for you and it tastes amazing. The restaurant is located inside the grocery store and it’s a must try

They have a wide variety of every foreign middle eastern/ desi item you could think of. I bought a bunch of different snacks to try and they have foreign sodas too which also tasted pretty good!

Soltan Halal Bazaar is hands down one of the best spots in Mechanicsburg for authentic Middle Eastern food and groceries. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm, friendly atmosphere and a wide selection of food products from across the Middle East — from fragrant spices and specialty teas to fresh halal meats and imported sweets.

I ordered the lamb veal kebab platter and it was phenomenal (see photo). The kebabs were juicy, perfectly grilled, and seasoned just right — paired with fluffy saffron rice, roasted tomato, a grilled pepper, and soft, fresh flatbread. Every bite was full of rich, smoky flavor. The portions were generous, and you could really taste the quality and care in the preparation.

Beyond the food, the service is exceptional. Staff are courteous and happy to help you find ingredients or make recommendations. Whether you're looking to enjoy a freshly prepared meal or stock up on hard-to-find pantry staples, this place is a true gem.

Highly recommend to anyone craving bold, authentic Middle Eastern cuisine or looking for a welcoming local halal market. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I recently visited Sultan Bazar and Grocery Middle East Market and was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and commitment to cleanliness!!!

The store was immaculately clean and organized, making it easy to find everything I needed. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products they sold!!

Overall, it was an incredibly positive shopping experience and I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for high-quality Middle Eastern groceries. Keep up the excellent work, Sultan Bazar and Grocery Middle East Market!!!

The place is still a Gem of a place however I have noticed how they are not as good as when they initially opened. I purchased a whole chicken from them. I asked the butcher to remove the skin only from the chicken When I got home I realized that they charged me $3 per pound because I asked them to remove the skin, increased automatically from $2.69 a pound. They did not disclose this and this is a very unusual practice! Very deceptive!

I visited this store hoping for a reliable selection of halal products, but did not see halal certified board or sign anywhere, which was already concerning. On top of that, the staff were unexpectedly rude and dismissive. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. For a store that’s supposed to cater to the needs of its community, this was truly disappointing. I hope they take feedback seriously and make changes both in customer service and transparency about their products.

I’ve been a regular customer at Sultan Bazar Halal Market for over three years, and their quality and service have always been excellent. Their bread is always fresh, and the chicken is small, tender, and incredibly flavorful after cooking—perfect for home meals. I also buy beef from here regularly, and it’s always clean and good quality.
