Hillside Deer Processing - Cullman, Alabama

I bled my deer out for several days and cut all the meat off the bone. Had 41 pounds of clean, bled out pure meat and what I picked up was not quite 25 pounds. The deer I brought had large backstrap and the tenderloin I got back was clearly not from my deer which is a big deal to me because I prep mine for best taste and tenderness. Very unhappy and definitely will never be back.

My husband dropped a deer off, not field dressed and in a hurry. Did not see the sign of which said to field dress your own deer before dropping it off. Owners before let you pay a little extra to have them do it. Instead of calling, we get a text message with a picture of the sign about not dropping the deer off unless it has been field dressed. No one ever replied to us after that, never called us or let us know anything else. We NEVER received the meat or heard back from them. Poor customer service at its finest. That meat was a Christmas present that we never got to give. Maybe next time please try and send more than a picture of a sign or at least offer for us to come back and get OUR meat. A simple “we won’t field dress it at all” text would have saved y’all from getting this bad review.

Best meat processor around. The customer service was great and the new owner was very friendly and helpful through the process. I dropped off 2 deer and got back alot more meat than I thought. Their summer sausage, salisbury, breakfast sausage, bratwurst, kielbasa, and burger is awesome.

As for the last review about the deer being dropped off after hours and not gutted. It's been their policy for years to have the deer gutted when dropping off after hours... Who would want to eat meat that had guts and bacteria sitting in it overnight Guess some people speak about things that don't have a clue about. Because I dropped my 2 deer off during business hours and they gutted them very quickly.

I'll continue to use them for years to come. Hands down the best processor in and around Cullman.

Just got my deer processed at Hillside. Reasonably priced and they processed the meat exactly the way I wanted it. I had 3lbs of summer sausage made and wish I had more bc it's the best I've eaten. The jerky meat was sliced to perfection. I've only left 1 other google review before but I felt compelled to make this one.

I spent the most amount of money for the first pickup of the year and received the least amount of meat. The deer weighed 145 pounds which yielded only 4 packs of tenderloin in return.

Hillside processed a deer for us this season. They did a great job. The facility is extremely clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. We'll be using them from now on.

Will not take whole deer. Deer must be quartered. Hell I might as well finish myself. Took deer to Brothers deer processing and very happy with the results

First time using them. Meat has bones in it and cubed steak wasn’t cubed at all. Will not use again.
