What is the point of having an appointment here?!

I made this appointment a while ago, took time off work for it, arrived 20mins earlier than my appointment and still didn’t even get to attend my appointment.

There is no “appointment only” line. You have to get in line with everyone else. If your appointment is at a busy time, you’re pretty much screwed.

I gave myself an hour!

To get a new ID all they have to do is verify the documents that I had already got approved online, take my photo, get my signature and my payment.

It is even stated online that this takes 10 to 30 minutes MAX.

I eventually had to give up to make it back to work. What a waste of my time that was.

Fast (yay!) but why are people always so nasty at the DMV? First woman was nice. Second was, sadly, a real jerk. I’d hoped for more. Like our Bishop post office—where everyone is super nice!

Surprisingly great ? why? Because they work and do their jobs as quickly as possible...not like down south, they don't serve the people, they chat chat chat and ignore that you're even there to conduct a transaction! Thank you Bishop DMV Gals you Rock!!!

As we were waiting to be helped it was nice listening to an employee helping customers with their problems in a empathetic way. Clean and friendly surrounded by Nature, Not like any DMV I’ve been to. A+

You can't renew vehicle registration in person?! The person who checked me in also wasn't sure if they could process an address change and instead of asking a coworker, gave me a number and said to wait 30+ minutes to find out. The online system keeps saying "unable to process your request" so now what? Pretty inefficient and inconvenient...

Needed to go pay my car registration. Wanted to pay it in cash. I waited in line and then I was told they don't do car registrations anymore, has to be done online. Half the line left because of this. They should put something on their website or on the door of the building. Plus, now they are only open 3 days a weeks. Bad business when people need help from all over Bishop and the neighboring areas.

Make an appointment and still wait in line with the walk-ins. Slow and slower at this place . Upon entry, the sign directs you to the counter for appointments, then the counter tells you to get in line with everyone else. Frustrating and incompetent.

What more can I say other than it’s a DMV. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. No point in making an appointment because they just make you wait in line still. If you ask questions they just shrug at you. Not helpful. DMVs always are terrible.
