One of the oldest and largest family-owned farms in Kitsap County. Abundantly Green has been operated by members of the same family since 1892, and was a farm as far back as the 1880s. Their barn was recently placed on the local historic register.

They are a diversified farm, a rare and wonderful thing these days, with a full herd of beef cattle, chickens, ducks, geese, laying hens... and lately pigs from a neighboring farm. They sell a great variety of fresh produce from their farm store, local farmer's markets, and through their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. They have CSAs for every budget, and even a workshare program were members volunteer a few days a month in return for a fresh bag of veggies every week.

If you're passionate about food, why not buy directly from a farmer?

I've had good experiences with them as a business, taking advantage of the workshare CSA. This year, I helped harvest potatoes and garlic, and once a month helped pluck chickens.

Owners Marilyn Holt and Clifford Wind are friendly, personable and passionate about providing top-quality organic produce. They're always in need of new customers, because as small farmers, they don't compete for space on store shelves. You want the really good produce, you need to come to them.
