This is my to go store, people that work there are always so friendly and helpful. I would of hope all stores stocked the same products, sometimes I have to go store hoping to look for what I need.

Best family hardware store ever! Had eyes made with Mr. ERNIE who gave 100% superb customer service! I sure appreciated him. Don't know the cashiers name but young man who also had great customer service. Also needed replacement air conditioner filter that BOTH HOME DEPOT, AND LOWES did not have is stock! They actually told me Ace hardware will probable have what I wanted. WOW.

This Ace Hardware joint, it's a different kind of place compared to the other Ace here in the Bay Area. The young bros there are friendly, greeted folks when they come in, and they're genuinely wanna help out. It's like stepping back to stores in Guam, when people actually cared about customer service. So awesome to be in a hardware store with that inafa maolek charm, blessed I got to experience this here. #SMALLWINS

Update for 2024
I stopped in for some things. I was able to take care of the top couple items on the list. Learned that there was no customer restroom and went to the register before my need became urgent. I left my previous 5 star below.

July 2023
The manager took the time to help us find pad locks that will fit our cooler. To fit the U shaped part needed to be pretty long and a bit wide between the two sides without the metal being too thick. I had the cooler in my car and she brought a couple candidate locks out for trial fits to be sure we got the right thing. We would have preferred two locks keyed alike, but they did not have a set that would fit my cooler. Still, when the lock that fit was the only one on the peg she checked the computer inventory and then went and tracked down a second one somewhere. Ready to camp!

You may wonder about locks for a cooler. Bear certified coolers have to be locked to really be certified. Personally, I do not put so much stock in defeating a bear as in satisfying the rangers' requirements. --Two bears later the locks held the cooler closed after they opened the latches.

This is like a combination of an old hardware store and a modern one. I love this store. They have one person that works there who deserves to be commended. Alicia seems to know where everything is located in the store, and if they have what you are looking for. They did a great job hiring someone like her.

Incredibly frustrating. I bought a chip cry replacement for my 06 dodge from Amazon and just needed it to be cut but according to the employee at ace they said that they cannot just cut the key due to “liability “ of someone getting injured while cutting and outside sourced key. I cannot believe that is the true source of the denial more likely that they want to sell you “their” key for 2.5 times the price for one key not the two that I bought online. I just can’t believe that aces customer service would be so poor on this subject. Very upset.

I needed to have keys made for the lockboxes on a house I'm listing soon in the Bay Area. I plugged "hardware store" into my GPS and was lead to this Ace Hardware. The store was easy to find and parking was plentiful. The store itself had a sweet "mom & pop" feel and there were plenty of people working to be helpful. The regular key machine was out of commission, but the nice clerk made my keys on another machine. Only problem, neither of the keys worked. 🙁 I'm not giving a lower rating mainly because she did the best she could with the equipment she had. I also didn't have time to return to remedy the situation, which I'm certain they would have done for me.
