John's is quick, efficient, clean, and he treats the animals humanely. Our first visit, I asked how and when our Geiger would be slaughtered. He explained the process thoroughly, and I was satisfied it was a stress free death. The meat was cut to our needs, was trimmed very well, and we got an excellent ratio of dressed meat to live weight. His prices are some of the lowest in the state, too.

We had a 1050 pound steer that had been put up and corn feed for5 months processed. In return we got strip steaks that were 4 inches long and 2 inches wide 1 inch deep. Same size ribeyes mine you no deckle attached. Today we opened two packages of our filets. They are 2 1/2 inches round and 3/4 deep and that's the good ones. One third of them were slivers of meat. This is not the steer that was brought to be processed! I will never bring another piece of meat to them. Plus I will tell anyone who will listen DO NOT trust them with your business!
