Things I liked:
1. Location was great
2. Check in was easy.
3. I liked you didn’t need a key.
4. The wood paneling was nice and I liked the fire place although we didn’t use it.
5. I liked the ceramic coffee mugs instead of a paper cup, but more about that later.
6. They tested texted me our room was ready and it was ready 3 hours earlier than the 4:00 check in.
What I didn’t like:
1. Our room faced the main road, a little noice but not bad.
2. You can hear every time someone goes into their room.
3. You have to put out the your trash and wash your cups or you’ll be charged a cleaning fee. This I didn’t get. There is no dishwasher in the room but they left dish soap and a sponge. You have to wash it in the bathroom sink. I don’t want to use a cup some random person cleaned. I truly do not understand this. Once I had this requested from me it it was more like an apartment, with a dishwasher.
4. The pedestal sink was dusty around the base and behind it.
5. Dusty tub, although the rest of the room was clean.
6. We were told how to operate the air conditioner but not the heater. I texted to ask but got no reply. It was early, but they sent to be very hands off.

Horrible experience!!! Customer service at this establishment is Non existent. My husband and I booked a much needed last minute getaway after a series of very stressful events at home the last month. First off we had to hunt someone down that worked there on the grounds because no one was in the office. We drove all the way up the mountain to be told we no longer had a room because he double booked it. He said he messaged me about it. I looked at my phone and saw a text from 15 min earlier canceling my reservation. I believe an actual phone call would have been appropriate since I had booked my room over 7 hours ago and it was now 6pm at night. He had no care that we had no where to stay in a freezing cold mountain town as a guest. He didn’t offer any solutions and was extremely rude. Only stating it wasn’t his fault and he let us know by text. When we questioned him about offering another room at the rate we all ready paid for the original room he stormed off and rudely said “bye” with an attitude. Like a teenager with no manners. Literally the worst experience with customer service I have EVER had in my almost 40 years on this earth. This man had no regards for what he had put us through that night. Please don’t give this company your business they are shady and based on other reviews I have read on here I’m not the first to be disrespected like this.

As someone who reads reviews I made a huge mistake not reading the reviews. I had to wait for someone to come to the office when I arrived. My cabin was cute but smelled heavily of fireplace. Tried texting the front desk and got no response. All the signs posted have different numbers to call/text for help but no one helps or they don't answer. I was told to YouTube if I needed help.

Spent some days in Big Bear. New years eve to the 3rd of January. We liked our trip to Big Bear. After staying at bear creek, then Fireside and Cathy Cottages, we found good rooms. Except bear creek, we were left with a bad weird experience. Delayed text responses, also they were sharing room texts and invoice. Room 8 they were not liking you new years eve. Tried to get an refund. Tried to be an adult about it. I will not be staying there again. And the traffic and way in and out is horrible.

Absolutely horrible service and experience and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I booked a room here in the morning around 11am. We live over 2 hours from big bear and started our drive up around 4pm. We arrived at 6:30pm only to be told be “Andrew” that our room was double booked and that we no longer had a room and that we were messaged about the issue “earlier”…… My wife checked he phone and the “earlier” message was 15 minutes before we got there!!!! There was no offer for another room and in fact Andrew felt very justified that he told us already so it wasn’t their fault!!!!! He was very self justified in response that he told us as soon as he knew the issue so there was nothing he could do. We already were in town so we asked for another room and he said he had one but it would be overkill for us Whatever the heck that means. I voiced my frustration about his attitude and the situation and he literally walked away and denied us service. Horrible horrible horrible place! Put the right people in the right places to run your business. We are in big bear often and will never be going here and will never recommend. Ridiculous how this went.

Got a late check in with a code. Arrived around 10pm. Opened the door to dirty sheets, dirty towels, dirty kitchen. Tried to call, text and knock on office door for 45 minutes till somebody finally came and gave us another room. Were told they’d give us a refund and then they said they wouldn’t the next day. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend this place.

Being a Father with 3 children this place was amazing. The gentleman in the front desk was superb, send me all the information everything was simple and easy. Children are very happy and I have nothing but gratitude for the last minute booking and the service.

I stayed in cabin 26 on the last week of April 2024 and totally loved it ❤️ check in and out was contact free, they text you a code for the cabin and you text them when you check out. I had absolutely no problems at all and will definitely stay there again in the future. The only thing that I recommend to management is to make the cabin numbers more noticeable. I arrived after midnight and had to walk around with my flashlight to find the cabin
