Big Bear Educational. Here, we have stuffed animals, scat droppings, and history timeline books and pictures of Big Bear and its forest. A little fun and education for the family. Inside is small, but there's is a gift shop with shirts, stuffed animals, mini figurines, and many other Big Bear memorabilia. On the other side of the parking lot, there's also a trail to take for beginners. For a feel of nature and to get that energy out of those kids, haha. A bike ride is also welcome along the trail. Plenty to keep the family busy

Absolutely love nature and the walk by the Discovery center is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, easy access to this location. There are restrooms inside the building. There is an amphitheater outside and a couple different trails. If you enjoy being outdoors definitely get some big bear air.

It's just a taxidermy gift shop with a small looped trail but I think the events they hold for children is what makes this place so special. The hiking trail is about 10 minutes long if you do the little loop.

It took me a while to realize this place existed. Came with the whole family. The kids enjoyed learning about the animals in Big Bear. Have to come back to enjoy the nature tour.

The inside part is mostly taxidermy stuff but still pretty cool. The outdoor nature loop is what we took and it was short and fun. The play area was cool for our almost 5 year old but older kids may struggle to be entertained. The loop took about an hour at a 5 year olds pace.

The Discovery Center was a lot of fun. We got to explore their displays, learn lots, and visit their gift shop. Their staff was super informative and friendly. They also have a trail right outside that is shirt and sweet and a kids playground area. We had fun!

Very quiet center with little shop inside, craft table for kids, animals exhibit, bathrooms, free parking and very pretty hiking trails.

This is a sweet free activity to do with kiddos in big bear. We got to learn about different local animals , a cute little Gift shop and a lot of fun outdoor (dog friendly) mini trails and activities like logs and a pan music park area.
