The Roofing Contractor used BLD and had them put a rolloff in my driveway on a Friday, so I figured that it wouldbe with me until Monday. To my surprise BLD came on Saturday to pick it up. When it was picked up the driver then got out and used a magnetic device to sweep for nails on my driveway and the proceeded to sweep up the trash that was under the container. I was so impressed with BLD that I decided to do this review!

I've been with BLD since purchasing this house in 2005 and have never paid more than $38/quarter. Waste Mgt bought them and my first bill was fine but the second one, in March, was for $49.50. Now they want to add an extra $1.95 for me receiving a paper bill. When I called them about it, the customer service lady was very nonchalant and uncaring in her response about my complaint. They also quite frequently forget my pick up and have to come a day or two later. I am actively looking for another provider.

Started using them 11/03/2016 when we moved into our new house. Went to house that day for final walk through and noticed that the previous owners had trash completely full and outside of trashcan as well. They also did not call to cancel their service, so BLD did not know to pick up yet. I called and told them that we needed emptied ASAP that we were the new account ( I already set-up account before we moved in) and we were unable to utilize because of previous account holders. They had it emptied that day. We have not had any issues at all. 🙂

6 months ago, they insisted I owed for a quarter. I had to prove to them my payments were up to date. Everything was correct on the following statement. Then, on the statement for Jan., Feb. and March, they said I owed a $10 late fee from 6 months prior (the bill they had messed up). When I told her, I wasn't responsible for a late fee, she became very rude. I also told her, we can't depend on a set day for pick up. They have picked up on different days for the last few weeks. She stated, "since November, they shouldn't have been picking up your trash because you're running a quarter behind since July". Wow!! First off, they bill in advance, this current bill is for the next 3 months, there's no past due amount on the bill. I'm currently trying to discontinue my services with them. This bill is now past due because they told me, I have to pay for the entire quarter. I have asked them to pick up their can and I will pay for the services provided this month. They said, that isn't possible. They really expect me to pay for 3 months and them not pick up my trash? Stay away from this company!!! I give them a rating of 0.

I've never had a issue with any community waste management service since moving to Atlanta in 2004 until I got BLD waste service. If you have a shopping bag full of trash and it's not in the trash can, they will leave it. They seem nice but make broken promises, they never pick up your trash even if they make the mistake. I'm with a new service and if I have extra trash it's no charge. Stay clear of BLD, they have these crazy rules and if you are outside their rules they'll just leave your trash on the curve.

The reason they are so successful even with all these bad reviews is that people on the west side know they are the ones to call when you need a Rolloff. I guess at one time they did some residential service and people weren't thrilled but they get the rolloffs their when promised. The only guy who complained was someone who obviously couldn't follow the rules. If you have 35 yard of trash you can't put it in a 30 yard container, they can't legally or safely haul it down the road. Do they damage driveways? Sometimes! It's a 7000 pound steel box with steel wheels that regularly freeze up due to rust and damage being tipped off and dragged onto a 35,000 pound truck...it's not driveway friendly any more than a jackhammer is. Get a dump trailer our use Bin Their Dump That if you need something gentle on the driveway, use BLD on the west side and Double D on the east side if you need to haul a bunch of trash!
