Now that I am no longer employed with Bluestem Brands Distribution Center, I can write this review, without fear of retaliation.
To start I want to emphasize, that the tasks are not rocket science. They are generally simple which is to the company's advantage because formal training is NOT provided.
It’s worth noting that the warehouse tends to get hot, so it's advisable to bring a personal fan. On a positive note, the company offers complimentary cold water at various water stations throughout the warehouse, which is a thoughtful gesture.
Be aware, there is no grace period when clocking in.
This job can be suitable for you if you don’t encounter issues that require resolution.
Having held numerous jobs in diverse fields, I have never encountered such a level of incompetence among individuals who are expected to be qualified and competent within their roles. It’s with a heavy heart that I must say this was one of the most challenging and detrimental work environments I’ve ever encountered. My time at Bluestem was marked by extreme unprofessionalism, toxicity, and an overall lack of concern for employee well-being, which took a significant toll on my mental & physical health.
The work culture was anything but conducive to a healthy and productive work life. The lack of respect among colleagues was alarming, with frequent incidents of bullying and undermining of team members. It seemed the toxic behavior was not only tolerated but often ignored or even perpetuated by upper management.
Communication within the company was awful. Important information was frequently withheld, distorted, or miscommunicated, leading to misunderstandings and frustration among employees. Attempts to seek clarification or resolution often fell on deaf ears.
I can confidently say that my time at Bluestem was detrimental to both my professional growth and personal well-being. It is disheartening to have experienced such a toxic work environment, especially given the potential that the company has, to foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere. The treatment I experienced at this job was far from typical, and I reached a point where I could no longer overlook the flawed infrastructure. My entire being rebelled against this place. Despite my initial efforts to persevere, I eventually found it impossible to stay. On my final day, something drove me to leave, and I haven’t returned since. It was unquestionably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I hope that my review serves as a wake-up call for Bluestem to reevaluate its toxic work culture and prioritize the mental and emotional health of its employees.

They tell you all the things you want to hear over the phone interviews and in person at orientation. But what they don’t tell you Is you only get paid $12/hr without perfect attendance for the week. You have to clock in and out on time including your breaks and lunch. (Self explanatory). If you do this you can earn up to $15-$16/hr. Supervisors contradict what they say all the time. I was wrongfully terminated they’ve changed their statement twice about the reason I was terminated. (They were trying to look for any excuse to not have me their because I was going through medical problems). They say they care and understand but really behind closed doors their looking for a way to wrongfully terminate you and they try to get away with it. Worst warehouse I’ve ever worked at. I’m fired now and worked there a whole month with only $500 I was paid throughout the entire time I worked there. I am still waiting to be paid.

Not a friendly place to work. HR is terrible. The supervisors have terrible attitudes and issues. I think they need to be drug screen. The supervisor show favoritism they work on a buddy buddy system These people do not put well-being of the employee as important. The heat is terrible in this place.

BLUESTEM is allowing a temp agency RANDSTAD to find people to work there at BLUESTEM in Eatonton Ga under false pretenses, in their orientation they talk of $15 hr but it doesn’t matter if u work everyday, clock in and out on time breaks and all, they aren’t paying that $15. They wait til after to tell u that If you get the job through RANDSTAD u ARE NOT GETTING PAID $15 an hr NO MATTER IF U HAVE PERFECT ATTENDANCE. And then have the nerve to NOT PAY PEOPLE WORKING 50 hr weeks & every pay week it’s one issue or another. I’m reporting them to the bbb because these practices are unjust, and unfair! Bluestem could’ve had some great employees if they would just require their OWN TEMP AGENCY TO PAY PEOPLE ON TIME! People have families and we’re pulled in thinking ok I get paid every week, OR JUST PAID ON TIME AS PER THEIR PAY DAYS, the job isn’t way too hard, and if I come in on time (like I always do) I will be paid $15 an hr and its ALL LIES! Don’t fall for it like many of us did shame on both companies

It's a great job opportunity and I love my job as an Auto Bagger. There are minor infractions that need to be corrected, but all in all it's be an amazing company.

My fiance works here through Randstad I hope they hire him from Randstad after his 90 days but put him on the morning shift 6:30-4
