Chef Martin & his team came to our house for a private dinner, welcoming our family friends from New Port beach. This was the third time we have contracted their help to make our night special.

Although a last minute request (4 days before the event) right after July 4th holiday, he was able to accommodate our party of 13. The entire process from the first phone call to the actual event was very simple. Most of our communication was done via texts. I was offered the opportunity to make recommendations to the seasonal menu focused on the vibrancy that summer offers, featuring beautiful vegetables/flowers from Chef Martin’s private garden paired with sophisticated choices of protein.

The meal itself was, as expected, delicious. The 8 courses were more than fulfilling and most of us could not finish all our plates. We also participated in a fun, ravioli making activity that definitely became a core memory for our families. We were even given chef hats with crayons to write our names and aprons, showcasing Chef Martin’s thoughtfulness in every little decision. I especially appreciated his staff’s attentiveness in making sure they bring the dishes in at the right time, in between speeches from both sides of the families. That meant a lot to us, to have that private personal time, without interruptions from the staff and even when it extended the dinner an extra hour.

Chef Martin & his staff are highly recommended. And we surely will be contracting them again for future private dinner needs. Thanks Chef for another amazing dining experience!

My husband and I recently hired Chef Martin and his team for our micro wedding at a luxury Air B&B near Yosemite. When I say we were absolutely blown away from start to finish… it is an understatement. From the very beginning, communicating with Jennifer regarding the details of our wedding, the menu, our expectations, etc was so easy and effortless. We knew from the very first phone call with Jennifer that we would be booking with Capitola for our wedding day!! We ended up doing an eight course plated dinner with wine pairing for each course. During the initial phone call, Jennifer told us she would be doing the table scape and getting flowers and candles in the bridal colors. I expected maybe one bouquet of flowers and a couple candles. I didn’t expect what we walked into on the day of the wedding. We walked in and we were completely floored!! The way Jennifer decorated the table was absolutely gorgeous. Incredible attention to detail. Multiple bouquets of flowers in my color theme, candles all along the table. They brought all of their own elegant serving wear, everything was matching, she made personalized, elegant menus for each guest at their table… just WOW. Then the dinner got started— champagne toast, passed hors d’oeuvres as we mingled with our family. When we said we wanted a Michelin experience…. We definitely got it!! The service they provided was impeccable. Constantly ensuring we all had full water and wine glasses throughout the evening. Our family was completely blown away! Everything we ate was so incredibly delicious. A lot of family members were saying how certain dishes were the best thing they’ve ever eaten. Chef Martin described each course, explained why he chose each wine to pair with it. It was incredible! He even went above and beyond for a family member who doesn’t drink alcohol and did a non- alcoholic wine paring for them as well!! Chef Martin ensured we all not only had a great meal, but a great time as well! We were soooo impressed and we still talk about our wedding meal every few days, even weeks after!! They took care of literally everything and everyone! Did all the prep work and the best part, clean up too!! 10/10, 10 stars ⭐️ , we cannot recommend Capitola Garden Feast enough! We will definitely hire again!!!

Un. Real.

Chef Martin and Jenn are two of the most wonderful and professional people I have had the pleasure of working with. We hired them for our tiny (12 person) wedding and they absolutely blew us away. From the tasting ahead of time, to the attention to detail with dietary restrictions, wine pairings, complexity and creativity of Martin's dishes, and Jenn's eye for detail, nothing was out of place. There is serious passion here, would absolutely (and plan to!) hire again in the future!

Perfection! They went above and beyond to make our book launch event extra special. Not only did they make the tastiest appetizers (not one bite was left!!) but they also took extra time and care with the details. They really thought of everything! I would - and I will- trust CGF with any and all of my future events—big or small. Grateful to have them in my community!!

This was an incredible and memorable experience, a very special way to mark a special occasion! My friend booked Chef Martin and his son Sky to prepare a 5 course meal for 4 of my close friends for a bachelorette weekend trip to Santa Cruz. Chef Martin and Sky came to our Airbnb with everything they needed to prepare our feast. Each course was spectacular and paired with a wine to complement the dish. We had fresh caught scallops, homemade cheese, an unforgettable truffle salad dressing, pasta made from scratch that Chef Martin taught us to prepare and every dish incorporated fresh veggies from Martin’s garden. Martin and Sky were so kind and warm, they made the whole experience so enjoyable. They took photos for us and cleaned the kitchen before we were finished with our meal. Could not recommend more!!

Martin and Jennifer are a wonderful team! They catered our wedding in Ben Lomond, CA on 6/1/24 (170 guests). From start to finish, it was very apparent that they find meaning in connecting with their clients and providing a unique culinary experience that meets their client's hopes and dreams. We are big foodies who care about food sustainability and wanted our wedding menu to demonstrate that. Martin and Jennifer went above and beyond to make this happen. We also had many dietary restrictions that Martin and Jennifer accommodated in creative ways. We had a Mediterranean menu; highlights include a mushroom septet salad (big hit!), lamb tenderloin, lemon/lavender chicken confit, trout, local wines, creative herbal cocktails/mocktails, and an INCREDIBLE desert spread. I'd 1000% recommend Capitola for any catering event!

Had the pleasure of dining in Chef Martin's lovely backyard in a small group setting. Absolutely enjoyed the 7 course brunch along with the alcohol pairing. Everything was delicious and enjoyed the fact that Martin took the time to explain every dish and drink and was very accommodating to any allergies or preferences (I had none, but still nice to have that option). Highly recommend him for any events. Would dine again given the chance.
