We had the pleasure of attending the service here while we were visiting my mom. I enjoyed the pastors message, the choir is fantastic and the programs they provide for kids of all ages is nice. They provide several 8 person covered golf cart vehicles to shuttle you from your car to the sanctuary and back. Most of their parking is down a steep hill behind the church but they keep the golf carts pretty busy and you don't have to wait for one to come back around. Even if you are running late, there will be a cart waiting for you. Their welcoming committee is very friendly and quick to offer their time to help you with anything you need. This is a very friendly, welcoming and kind congregation.
The pastor is not afraid to tell the truth in his messages. He doesn't water down the gospel or tickle ears to make us feel good about ourselves. His messages are challenging, truthful and Christ focused. Full of grace, hope and mercy. There's no finger pointing or damning people to hell. The CBC congregation, staff and pastors are truly the Hands and feet of Christ.

From the first day that I entered the doors, I knew that I was home. The warmth and love that I felt was like no other place I had ever been in. That feeling has not changed to this day. If you are looking for a church that welcomes everyone the same, come to Central Baptist. If you are a student looking for a home, come. Maybe you have had to relocate to the Birmingham area for some reason, come.

I love this church. I have been a member for 30+ years and have seen it grow from a very small church to what it is today. If you are new in our area, and are looking for a church, come visit. But let me warn you, you will look no more. We would love to have you.
