We visited the zoo and the playground. My children had an excellent time. The park is well- maintained and the staff is friendly. It was not very crowded on a Wednesday afternoon.

There are no souvenir patches in the gift shop, only magnets, tees, and stuffed toys. And the on-site food vendor is not available on regular weekdays, only on weekends. Those were the only 2 downsides, for us.

We enjoyed RV camping in such a quiet spot. The 18-hole disc golf in the evening was fun, as was the zoo in the morning. We were the onky visitors to the zoo, and the bears, bactrian camel, black rhino, lemors, prairie dogs, and cheetas and others were curious to see us. Off season was calm and wonderful. If I still had little kids, I'd be back here often.

I think that there is a lot to offer here. Coming here is two adults with no children we see the appeal of the public park and splash pad. For kids this is an awesome free experience (minus entry fee) . The zoo is small but surpassed our expectations. There was a lot to see at the zoo and the animal interactions were quite interesting. We really enjoyed getting to feed the rhino. The zoo took us probably three and a half hours to go around the whole thing and take time at each exhibit. On the weekend we did see people racing RC cars and that was really unique and not something that we expected to see. Also the fact that this place has fishing and camping, it makes it seem like an all-around Outdoor Adventure day for anybody. We would probably come back here again but I do not think we would visit the zoo again. Overall, who facility is clean and as it was not expensive, it was a good experience.

My family and I really enjoyed Chehaw Zoo. Even though it's not huge, what a nice place to visit close to Albany, GA for anyone that likes animals, and wants to spend the day out.
Around the outside of the zoo is a splash pad playground for the kiddos, a grilling area I believe you can rent for parties, plenty of space to walk around, everyone there had a smile on their face, and looked happy.
Inside the zoo area...ask the front where you get your admittance about feeding the gators...that was a unique experience! Have fun here, and see the beautiful cheetahs come up to the fence...amazing animals. And,BTW they have fixed the loose boards on the boardwalk. 😊😊😊

We recently moved to Georgia from Indiana and bought the yearly membership for Chehaw Park and the Flint Riverquarium. Well worth it! We have been here so many times! The zoo is great! Not too big that it's daunting to take the kids 😂, but big enough to take a nice walk and spend an hour. The alligators are my kids favorite.

The playground is large with lots to do.

The splash pad was fun in the summer when it's so hot!

We stayed at camping spot #15 & it's mostly shaded. We had a picnic table & fire pit with grill top, perfect! There are a LOT of ants, so come prepared! (I use blue dawn, windex & water spray on our door mat and around our tires to keep ants out of the RV). We didn't use the bath house much, but it needs a good pressure wash and paint job. Everyone is nice and very helpful. There is an amazing splash pad & playground. The zoo is nice and affordable. We rode our bikes from camping spot to zoo. This is a nice park to bike. We'll be back! Next time, we'll bring discs for golf.
