Terrible awful people and they are haters. In 2019 The lied on me and falsely accused me of something I didn't do. I beat the case, but they still continuously harass me about jury duty smh...

As inconvenient and boring this could be, I can honestly say I enjoyed my time there. The employees made it fun. They were personable, funny and genuinely like their job. I was happy to sit in boredom with these people.

Technical difficulties and courthouse unpreparedness lead to potential jurors waiting in silence for over an hour (so far, as of 9:00 am, 4/8/24) with no further information given as of yet.

IT has been "on the way" for 45 min so far.

I had to get an exemption because I am a full-time student. I obtained the student status letter from my university and emailed it and I was excused. The process was fast and easy. Everyone was very kind.

My first jury experience. I was excused after 8.5 hours due to pre arranged travel but I'll gladly come back next time I'm summoned. Everyone was friendly except the courtroom deputies who were very grumpy. The process was long and slow, but someone's fate and future is on the line so this is important. Very glad they allow the use of wifi when you are not in the courtroom.

This may sound crazy but they actually made this a pretty nice experience. You can really tell that someone at Dekalb County did a lot of work on how to make people less inconvenienced and I think it makes a huge difference with people showing up and wanting to be a part of the process. We all got notes directly from the judges involved thanking us for being part of the process and my first jury duty experience was WAY WAY better than I had anticipated. I have to think that it isn't like this everywhere which is why everyone tries to get out of it. I wanted Dekalb County to know that the effort didn't go unnoticed.
