Sanitation pickup are lazy and incompetent. It took them OVER A MONTH, after my initial request, to pickup. They closed my request claiming “several attempts” were made but unable to pickup because it wasn’t on the curb, yet when I look at the camera footage, the lady was here for 5 seconds, took a picture, and drove away. Barely an “attempt” if you ask me. I live in a townhouse neighborhood and There’s literally nowhere else for me to put my bulk item without blocking the mailbox , or someone’s driveway or straight up on the road.
The rep said she would have to put me at the bottom of the collectors list as a “courtesy” but not sure if they’re gonna be able to do the collection if it’s not on the curb. And when I asked what she suggested me to do , I was told “well I don’t know, you’ll just have to see” Are you kidding me?!?!

My experience with DeKalb County Sanitation this morning was absolutely wonderful. From the moment CSR Angela answered the call, I could tell she was not only professional but genuinely warm and eager to assist. Her voice had such a cheerful tone—almost as if she was smiling through the phone—and it instantly brightened my day. Despite the chilly weather outside, her kindness and patience brought a refreshing sense of sunshine. She took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and made sure I felt completely taken care of. I truly felt grateful to have had the chance to speak with her. Angela’s outstanding customer service made all the difference, and I’m so thankful for her assistance! Thank you Ms. Angela!!

Called the Sanitation Division and spoke with a Customer Service Representative named Anglea and just wanted to say the experience was great! Anglea was very helpful, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to work with. My issue was resolved and great job Angela!

The garbage pickup in Wingfoot Pl Subdivision is flat out BS! They leave loose trash the was in our garbage cans to be picked up on the street I walked my dog thru the Subdivision while they was collecting and all I saw was leftover trash. DCSD needs to hire better people for the job.

Due to the inclement weather, the county sanitation pick-up schedule was revised.
I was uncertain whether there would be an additional day's delay, so I contacted the Sanitation department this morning at 8:39am.
I had the option to leave a message or speak with a Customer Service Representative and I chose the latter. I was greeted by a pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable representative who responded to my question.

I’ve only given one star so it would open up the comments for me. I am so tired of the sanitation team that halfway serves our neighborhood! Again, no trash was picked up, (not just on my street but the whole neighborhood!!!). We complained last time and we were questioned as if we were wrong or didn’t get our trash to curb in time. Every street I drove on today (1/21/25) the trash was still there (Tuesday after MLK Day). Normal pickups are Monday’s . Now it’s snowing so we know the trash will sit out the rest of week til normal pickup on Monday. On top of that the service sucks even more with the trash men that never put bins back on curb but instead leave in street in the way of traffic. It’s so easy to put Bins back in place. Something is seriously wrong and the situation needs to be acknowledged and addressed…Period!

Angela was so helpful and she made my issue so easy to take care of. I am from Ny and was totally oblivious to how to fix my issue. Angela was patient and explained exactly what needed to be done. She went above and beyond and I appreciate all the help and she even did a follow up. She’s definitely a great asset to the Dekalb County Sanitation Department
