Dekalb County allowed their road workers to tear up the road on my street at 4522 Snapfinger Woods Drive in Decatur Georgia. They started paving our street 3 or 4 moths ago and never finished or came back to finish the work. Now our road on Snapfinger Woods Drive is completely demolished, dangerous, and very bad on our cars. This is causing residents to constantly get wheel alignment’s, rotors, new tires etc etc. The entire Snapfinger Woods Drive street is uneven and incomplete. They fixed half of the road on one side and left the other side untreated.

I have no idea as to why would they come and only repair one side of the road. One side is newly paved even that was done sloppy with pot holes in the messy new black top. In other words, Decatur City Road workers came and tore up our street a couple of months ago and never returned to finish the job. Our road is now very dangerous. They made the original issue worse

Please fix our road or I will have Channel 2 and Channel 5 News out here, and I don’t think you want that

My neighbors and I have been contacting RAD for years about the drainage basin that runs behind our homes. The neighbors along the drainage basin clog it up which causes it to over flow and flood 3 of our yard. My back yard looks like a small river runs through it and my neighbors on the side of my home becomes surrounded by standing water. Our yards have been destroyed. We now have sink holes from the flooding. We just want the flooding to stop and our yards repaired from the large amounts of water. It's poor customer service that a supervisor does not come and talk to us and see all the damage. We just receive emails from RAD that they acknowled recipient of our email.

It's me again. Still NOTHING done! The sticks and caution tape they put up has fallen, again. They say the work is too big for DeKalb county so it's been "contracted out". They will not give me the name or number of the company it's been contracted through. My next step is to miss work and attend a town hall. I WILL get this resolved! DeKalb county R&D should fire every single employee they have and hire people who actually work and care.

I started contacting DeKalb Co. RAD in August of 2021. Since then I have gotten NO return calls, no help emails and some sticks and caution tape put up in my yard! The manager does NOT return calls. My next step is calling channel 2. I don't know what else to do. There is a huge sink hole between the sewer top and a retaining wall. The road is going to collapse and the retaining wall is literally falling apart. I pay my taxes and these people clearly are just happy collecting a pay check and doing ZERO work!

Huge sinkhole on Wendan drive, been reported by all neighbors multiple times over the past 2 years. What gives? It is about 4 feet deep and stretches all the way to the center of the road (about 8 feet across) Please fix before someone gets injured walking into it, I pay a ton of taxes for your (lack of) services and I don't want my taxes to pay for the eventual injury lawsuit it will create. Shame on this department leadership

I wish I could give no stars. I have been having an issue with a hole in front of my home from the drainage area that is broken. It has been over a year now and they have not fixed it. The hole is so big that a grown man can fall into it and guess what, they did. I had a worker at my home and he fell into the hole and got injured. I have asked the county to fix this so that no one gets hurt. Now I see little kids trying to climb down that hole. This is going to be a bigger problem real fast which is what I am trying to prevent. DO YOUR JOB DEKALB COUNTY. I have been trying to contact Donald Murkey with Roads and Drainage and all my calls get ignored. WELL, I am calling channel 2 actions news today to come out to see what is happening here. This is ridiculous. I just don't want anyone else to get hurt. Pray for me y'all that I don't have any major incidents where someone gets major injuries. I think I am going to move to a county that cares.

All I can say is never let them do any work on your property without a statement. For 2 years I have struggled with them to fix my property and have them replace my trees and fence on my property. It has cost me time and money to continue to fight for them to fix what they destroyed. They’re very unprofessional and don’t care about fixing the problems they created. They don’t answer their phones and when they do they make promises that aren’t kept because they’re to busy trying not to fix the problem.

I completed the online form and within a few weeks they came to my community. Now, fortunately for me, I was on my way out the neighborhood and I stopped to speak to the DeKalb worker. (I just knew that when dealing with DeKalb, nothing gets done correctly and since they were here, I needed to ensure that this would be completed correctly today!!) He was pleasant and I was able to specifically tell him what areas in my neighborhood needed to be repaved. Within an hour, the crew was complete. The job was not the best, however, it was much better than before. The online form isn’t the best because you can’t list several locations of potholes, so I was very fortunate to be able to speak to the crew assigned to my neighborhood. I am hoping that DeKalb re-develop a process more sustainable for its citizens.
