The most outrageous, overpriced and expensive electrical service I've ever experienced in my life. I live alone and I work from the office 5 days a week. My electric bill should not be increasing $25 per month. I've never seen anything like it.... a total disservice to the community.

Their online billing sent me a notice that my bill was late and I needed to pay to avoid disconnection so I clicked the link and logged in but once I was logged in it did not give me the option to pay instead it just said cut off / non pay. So I went in to the office and the customer service rep explained that I have to come in after the status changes. Why? I guess for that one on one service plus they charge a $60 reconnect fee.

There is a pending Legal/Class Action suit against the City for over charging on the utility. I am one person and my bills on average are $150-$170..they don't care for payment arrangements and it depends on who you speak with and how they feel at that moment. The processes are dated and they dont seem to care. Like someone else mentioned you have to deal with 911 after hours if power goes out. Its all around attitude. DO NOT MOVE TO EAST POINT solely for this reason.

The superintendent of water was EXCELLENT and ensured all my issues were resolved in a timely manner even though the issues occurred due to negligence within the East Point Customer Care Department with their lack of attention to detail with similar addresses.

So disappointed in the City of East Point. They have the Most Unprofessional customer service center. The customer service center is UNETHICAL! Over price electrical service with the most disgusting customer service I have ever witness. Mike and a few others where very brusque. I felt belittle and embarrassed and to be honest I feel like this entire staff either needs to be retrained or maybe even terminated for there lack of professionalism. I will be sending emails to all East Point council members to address the ongoing issue on behalf of myself and other East Point citizens. As a tax payer and citizen I feel like I should never be treated as if I’m an inmate just for trying to pay my utility bill. I felt so rattled I’m even considering moving out of this community just so I wouldn’t have to keep enduring this type of ridiculousness. And Please don’t get me started about the CRIME!

I didn't receive a utility for December. I called customer care to start an ebill account it took at least 15 minutes before my call was answered. The person that assisted was Ty She had absolutely no customer care attributes. Wow, I need a refund for the customer care fee due to lack of customer care I received today.

I have lived in East Point for 20+ years and I can count on 1 hand any inconveniences that I have had. My main issue is my security light that I pay for on my utility bill. It's a total inconvenience to me when it goes out. I had issues until Stephen took my call and handled everything professionally and very very efficiently. He is an asset to the utility department. For the most part I can't complain about customer service. All businesses have some that don't care. Thank God for Stephen.

I usually don't write negative reviews. This is literally the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I'm a nice person and I try to be nice even when someone else isn't because you never know if someone is just having a bad day. But two separate employees were incredibly rude and angry. One of them accused me of lying, first words out of her mouth when I called. Another was so bad at listening that she gave us wrong instructions for what we were trying to do and we had to come around three separate times to get service switched over. Then she yelled at my husband that he had never explained himself correctly in the first place, which he had- she just didn't listen! Why are these employees so angry? It's customer service. If you start out already screaming at people from the beginning, you are bad at your job.
