Visited the ER in the wee hours of the morning. Front desk register AWFUL!! Her demeanor was off, talked so rude, no greeting, no smile, no nothing. My nurse was AWESOME! She was overly nice and sympathetic. Loved the Doctor. He asked questions and listened. He also had us in and out in a short time.

I had to go twice recently to the Emergency Room. The women checking me in were very professional and caring.
I had the best nurses on both visits. They were very kind and got everything ready for Dr. Martin. One of the nurses offered me a warm blanket without me asking for it. It's the little things like this that matter when you're not feeling well.
My ER doctor had a background in family medicine with a specialty in insomnia. They rotate physcians. My physcians name was Dr. Martin and he was caring, kind and intelligent. I now know what it feels to have a restful night's sleep. I thank him for listening to me and giving me my life back. Sleep affects everything. He uncovered a sleep disorder. I've had for years. It was definitely God watching over me and prompting me to go to the ER. He also treated a severe infection in my arm. That's healing nicely with no issues. The family practice group has physcians that received their doctorate degrees from Wellstar MCG, a well respected university.
They've always had the best EMT's. I no longer live here locally, but this is my hometown. It takes a good 30 minutes for an EMT to get to me because of where I live. They're very helpful and training new EMTs everywhere, just like in most areas. Please be kind to healthcare professionals. They are people like everyone else and they do make mistakes. They're are people not passionate about their profession in all careers. Be thankful for Elbert County's EMTs because you are blessed.
Please support this local hospital. You will regret it if their is no place to send patients or take them in an emergency.

I am currently at Elbert Memorial. I came here from Piedmont Athens Regional after having a right below the knee amputation. I am in a swing bed and having therapy. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It’s truly unbelievable how nice the nurses and staff are. Every nurse, every nurses aide, and every physical therapist that I have worked with has been nice, professional, , and a joy to have as caretakers. I am confident that they know what they are doing and I trust their care.

The hospital is a small one and it’s nothing fancy. It definitely looks a bit rough on the outside and the inside is nice but definitely not recently refurbished. But do not let that influence your decision to come here. None of that stuff matters. what matters is the quality of care that you receive from everyone here. If I lived closer, I would definitely come back here for any rehab needs and minor medical needs.

Infusion department:
I received my first infusion tonight. I must say that the young lady that gave me my infusion was very respectful, hospitable, and made me feel right at home. She got me a pillow, a blanket, and got dietary to bring me dinner when my infusion went into dinnertime. Elbert memorial hospital you have a great asset in this young lady! Thank you for everything.

My grandfather had to have rehab after quadruple bypass surgery at 84 years old. The first facility he was at in Comer, GA let him lay in the bed for almost three weeks without getting up and almost dying due to dehydration. The rehab center at EMH has been almost like a miracle! He is now eating on his own, getting up, and ready to come home! The nurses have been so sweet to him and treating him with respect and actually caring about him and his care. When we go to visit everyone is super nice and ready to walk you to where we need to be. Thank you so much to the staff from Sheriff Sanders and his family!

I was recently there with a friend and she was doing physical therapy and the staff members (Cam,Tan,) we're exceptional Cam is very caring about his patient.Tan is very thoughtful and thorough together it feels like family taking care of family this is my experience and it was a pleasant one and I wasn't the patient.

I recently went to be treated for COVID with my newborn and Dr.Robert Paten was very rude when I asked for water because I felt as if I was going to choke! I had to ask numerous times for water but he felt his conversation was more important at the time! I would not recommend to anyone who has a serious emergency however, I will acknowledge that the other staff were very nice and professional.

I was treated in the Emergency Room on 02 Feb 2023. Without their quick emergency services I would not be alive today!!! They needed to intubate me and I am very grateful for the work they performed. They quickly moved me to the next phase for more testing options. They transferred me to the Piedmont Athens Regional by ambulance due to weather restricted flights.
The only constructive feedback I have is they need someone to update the family more often when the family members are not allowed in the back emergency room where the patients are being treated.
