I'm giving them 3 stars solely because, prior to today, we had never had any issues with them. Everyone we had interacted with in the store and refilling our tank at the house had always been professional and courteous until today. I unfortunately did not get his name, but the older of the two men who came out to our house today was VERY rude and unprofessional. The entire time his partner was working on the tank, he stood on our porch loudly lecturing my 68 year old mother like she was an incompetent child because our tank was fully empty and there is an extra fee for refilling it from zero. Her trying to explain that we get refills when we can afford them was ignored.
I can understand explaining that there is an extra fee and that calling when the tank is at a certain level is a good idea. That's courteous. But starting off with "Do you not go back there and check it" before launching into a condescending lecture about wasting money is hardly the way to go about it.
Also, while not directly related to service, this was certainly disconcerting and rather unprofessional. When he noticed a cat scratch my mother has on her eyebrow from her kitten, he said "And the cat's still alive?" When my mother explained that the cat is still young and it was an accident, the man replied with "If it were me, it wouldn't have a chance to learn. I hate cats." There was absolutely no reason for him to say any of that at all and it's very weird for a stranger to insinuate that they would kill a pet for making a mistake while they're supposed to just be doing their job.
Anyway, all of this to say, I was deeply unimpressed with this particular employee. I can only hope something is done about his attitude.

I have been with them since 1984 or before,they are very courteous business people and have always been on time with my gas and and sent my gas in the fall before prices got so high..I appreciate them for the type business people they have been to me.
