I went into Ingles today and bought one item so I could get $100 Cash back to pay bills, and when I paid the card system did not offer me a chance to get Cash Back. I was in Checkout #2 and according to the receipt my cashier was Summer R. Assisting her was a young lady named Autumn. When I asked why I did not get a chance for cash back they said it was because I had tapped my card instead of inserting it to pay. I then bought a candy bar and when I started to pay--again following instructions on the screen display--it did not offer cash back. Rather than give me instructions, Autumn ran around the counter and reached for my Credit card. I told her I was not stupid and if her systems wasn't screwed up I wouldn't be having problems. I told her not to touch my card. I asked her how I would ever learn how to do it if she did it for me. She told me they do this all the time. I made my purchase, got my cash and went to the service desk to buy a money order which was my purpose in the first place. The Assistant Manager Ms. Phillips came over and I told her I didn't think the young ladies should be handling Customer's Cards. I also told her that the 2 young ladies were more concerned with talking to each other than serving customers; during my episode with them I never received a greeting, welcome, or thank you or goodbye. Ms. Phillips agreed that I should have been greeted and said that she would speak with the employees involved. I left there and went to Food City where at least 5 employees greeted me or spoke to me. I would not recommend Ingles to anyone. They have forgotten the basics of Customer Service and seem to think older customers should be treated anyway just to keep the checkout line moving! A Credit or Debit Card is the same as money. How would you feel if a young lady took a $100 bill out of your hand?

I recently had a pleasant experience at Ingles #408 in Trenton, Georgia, and I couldn't wait to share my positive encounter with everyone about the wonderful staff.
My journey began with a simple phone call to the local CVS across the street, desperately seeking a solution to my money order needs. Unfortunately, their money order machine was down, yet again; it's been "down for 2 months, now that I know of. Frustrated but determined, I decided to call Ingles to inquire if they sold money orders. Little did I know, this phone call would set the stage for an unexpectedly pleasant shopping experience. I've always heard about "first impressions" and now I realize how much impact a positive phone call can have when dealing with the pubic.
I was greeted by a cheerful and professional young lady named Elania. Her upbeat attitude and helpful demeanor instantly brightened my day. She not only confirmed that Ingles offered money orders but also provided all the information I needed. Impressed by her efficiency, I couldn't help but call back to speak with the manager and commend the outstanding service I received over the phone. I could tell the Manager was proud to learn that his staff had done an excellent job; I've always known that employees reflect upon the policies as expressed by management.
Upon my visit to the store, I was eager to meet Elania in person, only to find out she had already gone home. However, my disappointment quickly turned to confidence when I encountered Cari at the Service Desk. It was evident that Cari, like Elania, was a true "people person." Her friendly and approachable nature made my transaction seamless and enjoyable.
What struck me most about my experience at Ingles was the consistently excellent customer service provided by the employees. It's rare to find a team that genuinely enjoys their work, and it was evident that the positive atmosphere at Ingles #408 contributed to the exceptional service I received.
